We'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate all new office bearers to the LVML Board, and pass on our thanks to those outgoing members.

We say farewell and thank you to David Jarman for his dedication and leadership. David has served a total of 6 years on the Board, the last as President and the previous four and a half as Treasurer. We have no doubt that David's contribution to the Association will continue well beyond his time on the Board.

We also say farewell to Russ Sweetman, who made significant contributions to the Association over his three year term, the last as Treasurer. Russ also took on the Wellbeing Ambassador role and we thank him for his time and dedication during his time on the Board.

Ian Barker has been elected President as we head into the 58th year of the Association, and Mat Wandmaker steps into the Vice President's role with Ros McCully appointed Treasurer. It is with pleasure that we now welcome two new Directors – Paul Leesment and Nicole Semken.

All of these people come to the Board with great passion for the industry, and you will no doubt get an opportunity to get to meet them at various events over the coming months. We encourage you to use the opportunity to speak to them, get to know them, and share your feedback.

We welcome two new directors:

Nicole Semken

Through part of my role dealing with client communication I have spoken to many members of the public who have engaged an unqualified or uninsured landscaper and unfortunately have then suffered financial loss or damage to their properties.

It is only after these negative experiences that these clients have sought out a LVML member and seen the benefits of engaging a member. I am therefore very invested in working with like-minded organisations on the board and in the wider LVML community to enhance the organisations public image and strive towards checking for LVML membership being a vital part of every consumers engagement with a company within the landscaping industry."

Paul Leesment

"After guiding our Landscape Design & Construction business from strength to strength over the past two decades, I feel it's time to give back to the industry in any way I can.

My experience in developing business strategies and compliance, with proven systems & processes that deliver accountability, are worthwhile sharing with other like-minded driven business owners. Through successfully developing a focused leadership program in my own company, I feel that my contribution to the board can assist in staying on mission and help shape the future."
