Annual Member Golf Day 2021

Under beautiful blue skies, 107 enthusiastic golfers, and a few hangers-on eager for a hearty lunch and a half a day off work, turned up to the Sandhurst Club for the Annual Member Golf Day held on March 19th, 2021.

Spporting fundraising efforts for Landscaping Victoria's nominated charity, "This Is A Conversation Starter", the day was a sellout and raised $3613.

The money will help TIACS deliver mental health support services for tradies. Refer to the highlight box for more details about their work.

A big thanks to Sponsors who generously provided prizes, especially Bunnings Trade who donated a 4-burner BBQ that was picked up in the Silent Auction for $1000!

ABOUT THIS IS A CONVERSATION STARTER

TIACS Foundation was created by Ed Ross and Daniel Allen, two tradies turnedsocial entrepreneurs from Brisbane. After Dan lost a close mate to suicide in late 2015, it became obvious that there was a significant lack of understanding around mental health, particularly among young men working in trades.

The lads started TradeMutt in 2018, a social enterprise work-wear company designed to drive conversations about mental health, but Dan and Ed knew that they wanted to further their work and provide a solution for anyone seeking help.

Proceeds from the sales of TradeMutt workwear support the goal of TIACS to change themental health services landscape making it accessible and affordable and in doing so reduce the number of suicides in Australia.

TIACS Foundation offers a professional psychology service that understands the mental health issues in the blue-collar industry. The services is free and available to workers and their families.
