Dear Leader, Firstly, congratulations for taking up the challenge of applying for this position. It is a commendable step and I believe that you will learn quite a lot about yourself and this great organisation during the process. Around 12 months ago I faced the very same task of putting together a document to highlight my plans for the future of AIESEC UCT. Over these last 12 months I have constantly been learning new things about myself, people around me, and even the broader community. I have also been faced with difficult decisions and many frustrations. All of these things have helped guide my journey as a young leader. I can only hope that you will gain as much from the experience as I have. I do implore you to take a step back before proceeding and consider this application as something bigger than yourself. This is a position that can enable you to bring massive change to an entire city over the span of just one year, or ruin the reputation of an organisation in a very short period of time. How much you make this position matter is ultimately up to you though. It’s now time for you to take your knowledge, vision, and inspiration and turn them into a new direction for AIESEC UCT. I strongly encourage you to make the most of the resources available to you at this point and remember that I am always open to providing guidance. It’s time to shape the future of AIESEC UCT. It’s #TIME2LEAD.
Regards, Langa
Langalakhe Mahamba-Sithole Local Committee President 2015 AIESEC University of Cape Town
