ECO CHEFs Cape Town 2015

ORGANISING COMMITTEE APPLICATION BOOKLET

What is AIESEC?

ECO CHEFS 2015 explained

The world’s largest youth-run organisation. With members in 128 countries and territories across the world.

ECO CHEFS is a sustainability project aimed at addressing the use of electricity, with a large element of cooking involved.

Our vision is the fulfilment of peace and mankind’s potential. One of the ways we aim to accomplish that is by creating projects which are relevant and can impact the community around us. aiesec.org

The challenge is to put teams comprising of one chef and a number of engineering students together. The engineers will have to design a heating/cooling solution with certain restrictions in terms of the amount of power available and the type of appliances used. The chef will have to make the most of what they have at their disposal.

AIESEC UCT is the local committee for AIESEC at the University of Cape Town.

Each week, teams will be eliminated from the competition, until we reach the finale on the 16th of October 2015. Read further for more details.
