Is Your Property Undergoing Electrical Construction?

Here’s What You Need To Know

1. Most electrical installations require an electrical permit with ESA (The Electrical Safety Authority).

Some “like for like” installations or repairs do not require a permit. Almost all other work does. Fear not! This is not a complicated process like a building permit. We take care of everything including providing you with a copy of the “Certificate of Inspection”.

You will only need to provide access to the ESA Inspector. They are not to be feared.

They are your advocate for safe and code compliant electrical installations.

2. You must only hire licensed electrical contractors.

The importance of this cannot be overstated: by law, you must only hire licensed electrical contractors to do any electrical work on your property — including relatively minor jobs. Fortunately, verifying that a potential contractor is licensed by the Electrical Contractor Registration Agency/Electrical Safety Authority is fast, easy, and free. 3. Being proactive is always cheaper and safer.

It will always be wiser to address any potential problems before they emerge vs. after.
