Across the land-based and aquaculture sector, you can...

Support a Rising Star

Every year, Lantra brings together the best of the best from across the land-based and aquaculture sector. We do this to celebrate the unsung talent, the hard-working learners and those who have overcome challenges, and to support their further development.

Our high profile awards ceremony takes place at Crieff Hydro on Thursday 6th March 2025, when learners and industry can promote and celebrate their success.

But we don’t just give them a prize and take a glitzy photo, we also offer support to our finalists by offering them membership of our ‘Industry Champions’ initiative, providing skills development, training and valuable networking opportunities to help ensure all our finalists are supported in the next stage of their career.

In exchange they act as ambassadors for the sector, at events and on social media, to an audience ranging from industry to school pupils. This helps to further raise the profile of our sector and to promote it as a positive career destination.

How can YOU get involved?

We know that different organisations have different aims and priorities for sponsorship, which is why we have a range of opportunities available.

You might be interested in sponsoring the whole award ceremony with your organisation’s name in lights as our headline sponsor. Or perhaps you want to be more aligned with a category close to your organisation’s area of work, such as Agriculture Learner of the Year, or Modern Apprentice of the Year, and to present the trophy at the ceremony. Or you might want to sponsor a table.

You might want to focus your support on the Industry Champions initiative, providing support, expertise and input to the next generation of our sector’s leaders. We will help you to connect with our rising stars.

However you choose to become involved, you can rest assured that all of your sponsorship goes to recognising and supporting the best of the best from our sector.

What are the options?

We offer a variety of sponsorship benefits, including branding and marketing during and in the lead up to the awards ceremony and beyond, through our social media channels, in the press and on our website.

You will have the opportunity to be profiled in an ‘About our supporters’ section of our website, and have your company profile used in our learner and career materials.

We celebrate unsung talent, hard-working learners, those who have overcome challenges, and we support their further development.

We can offer the following packages...

You might also want to sponsor our Industry Champions directly, helping to ensure that each has the support they need, whether it be through sponsorship of the scheme as a whole, or by providing training or expertise in a particular area.

“Lantra’s Industry Champions initiative helps you to further your personal and career skills, network and has great opportunities. It’s also a supportive team of like-minded people who will welcome you and help you gain skills and grow. For me, it has been enjoyable and valuable and I would definitely recommend it!”

Champions share their experiences of different industries within the land-based and nature-based sector with each other; get training from us in areas such as presentations; social media; networking and on how to best represent their industry at career events; and can contribute to skills consultations and influence policies.

With this support, our Industry Champions inspire the next generation of learners while supporting skills development and promoting the diversity of careers available in the sector. All were finalists in our ALBAS, and so have already been selected for their inspirational qualities and outstanding contributions to the workplace.
