Industry Champion Training 2024

15th August 2024, Lantra Scotland Perth Office

This day consisted of training the industry champions as part of them signing up to the new Industry champion scheme to be included in volunteering at events and being paid their honorarium.

Prior to the sessions the champions read through a description of the role, an NDA and filled in a pre-workshop questionnaire that helped us understand where the champions felt confident and where they needed more work.

Throughout the day the champions completed a variety of mini workshops, these consisted of: Recap of who Lantra are and what we do, 1. Introduction, 2. Planning Phase, 3. Preparation Phase, 4. Communication Skills, 5. Role-Play/ Mock Setup and Rehearsal as Lantra Stands, 6. Role-Play/ Mock Setup and Rehearsal as their own sector representatives, 7. Risk Assessment training, 8. Closing and Reflection and then completed the same questionnaire as prior to the start of the workshop, this helped us gauge how the workshop had helped the champions.

All 6 of the champions signed up to the scheme after.
