Maria Bencivenga Cup

Kimoi and Raphel were named men of the match after leading their sides to victories in the opening matches of the Maria Bencivenga Cup Championships at the Nairobi Polo Club. In some of the mouthwatering matches, Casimir guided Tusker Malt to a 6-2.5 triumph while Kimoi did it for Radio Africa in their 5-3 success over Live Eye.

The reason Kimoi came back to score another hat-trick for Radio Africa was because Raphael Nzomo’s hat-trick for Live Eye in the first three chukkas had irritated him. Moses Wainaga’s double sealed the victory for the winners.
