JOHN SADLER HAILS FLIGHTLINE AS ‘ONE OF THE GREATS’ IN HORSE RACING
Trainer John Sadler continues to be in awe of his horse’s talent
69 days after Flightline used his masterful performance in the Breeders’ Cup Classic to win Horse of the Year honours. Sadler delivered perhaps his clearest remark yet regarding the son of Tapit earlier this week as he was getting ready to travel to London to claim the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Award on behalf of Flightline.

The 66-year-old native of Long Beach, who is well-versed in great equine athletes, claimed that no horse, living or dead, could possibly have defeated Flightline in the Pacific Classic at Del Mar last summer when the latter romped home in a record-breaking 1914 lengths and broke Candy Ride’s mile record of 1:59.11 seconds.
