REEF HOUSE SC – NBS SEACRETE NATURAL BUILDING SYSTEM TECHNICAL INFORMATION

STRUCTURAL SCHEME: The whole structure consists of three modules formed by space steel frames on which the façade and roof slabs will be placed. Porches will be settled with steel structural rectangular tubes. The column-beam joints and beam joints will be recessed. All pillars will be articulated on its base. To facilitate transportation and assembly, the beams will be fragmented. Have been chosen turning points where the gravitational load bending moments are very small or zero. The forged and the facades will comply with "seacrete" slabs attached to the supporting structure. The slabs forged will be dimensioned as 2 triangular pieces simply supported and connected. SLABS CHECK: We consider as critical zone a 70cm fringe covering the 2 closest nerves to free edge of the slab. The value of time on this fringe, in kN-cm / cm, is obtained by the 3d model analysis. The time will be split between the 2 nerves in proportion to their rigidities. The project delivers an ideal controlled environment of tranquility and coexistence, designed as a welcoming landscape vegetation successive terraces that connect the houses. In the outside it was sought to maintain the character of the whole without penalizing greater individuality possible in spaces. The construction material is recyclable and its modular construction system reduces 40% the time of construction. The project complies with the three dimensions of sustainability:

-Environmental dimension: commitment to energy efficiency, safety and health of people. -Economic dimension: Commitment to creating added value and with society. -Social dimension: commitment to quality service and ethical behavior.

SEACRETE AS MATERIAL: This is a vernacular process which using sea resources as raw materials by a chemical process creates a material capable of being occupied with constructive characteristics, surround or finishes. This craft material has proven positive characteristics as a vernacular construction material when used in furniture and containers, highlighting features of resistance, impermeability, compression and traction aided with an armor. The "seacrete" material obtained is 20% lighter than concrete, without adding the structure. And three times more loading capacity. CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM: A study of the proposed system was performed, considering advantages and disadvantages of the vertical and horizontal structures over other building systems from swiftness performance characteristics, economic criteria and sustainability.

WERE ANALYZED:

    

Total weight of comparative structure of different solutions loading capacity. Ratio cost structure per square meter of construction Im. Energy (MJ) Amount of CO2 emission Advantages and disadvantages of Seacrete compared with traditional concrete.

OPERATING SYSTEM: The construction system of found plaques can be described in two steps; First are seacrete slabs (limestone) with particular widths and heights according to a predetermined design. Second, these plaques work as been found to form walls and slabs of the project distributing efforts towards the structure in question. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. It is a low-cost housing due to the use of sustainable materials and the application of a building system (simple assembly). It is ideal because it addresses current needs and future prospects: the question of space and costs, to meet personal and family needs. (Students, couples, families and tourism). Components are premade to simply be assembled on site by a dry construction system. This makes each module can be dismantled and reused, besides being highly recyclable, design allows the possibility of joining anywhere besides vertical growth. MINIMAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: The dimensions of the house (3 modules 3x3m), allow easy transportation. It is completely removable minimizing its environmental impact. 10 days construction time is achieved by prefabrication. It is a proposal of sustainability for its low energy consumption, thermal-acoustic insulation, natural lighting, autonomous water collection systems, water treatment, rainwater capture and subsequent anaerobic treatment of wastewater. URBANA PROPOSED PAIRED: This design allows side and top growth to medium density urban development. Dismantling. Having completed its life cycle, full recovery of elements becoming a material bank of standard sections is possible.

ESTRUCTURALVERIFICATION:

VERIFICATION RELATIVE DISPLACEMENT BETWEEN SLABS:

DIFFERENT MODELS FOR DIFFERENT CHARACTERISTICS: Housing Plans OPTION A: One bedroom, social area, direct access to the terrace, kitchen and a complete bathroom. Possible implementations: Isolated, distribution dock, duplex module 8 houses Housing Plans OPTION B : This option has 2 bedrooms, a studio, and direct access to the terrace, kitchen and two bathrooms.

Possible implementations: Isolated, distribution dock, housing or independent.

INTERIOR: Panels were used to generate the spaces of the room and bathroom. Furniture from the same material, characterized by its minimalism.

Both ends of the house have panoramic views one can appreciate the beach landscape alongside curtains and blinds. In sets of 8 houses (cluster) these houses can be integrate into a system that draws water directly from the sea to be desalinated through a passive solar system.

Housing facilities are equipped with hot water through a sustainable system by means of a grid of black pipes in direct contact with sun irradiation placed the roof, to be used in the shower.
