BOULUD HITS THE SEAS
PACIFIC EXPLORER
Daniel Boulud debuts his first cruise-ship restaurant, the 50-seat Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud, on board Celebrity Cruises’ 3,260passenger Celebrity Beyond. The jewel box-like space stars globally inspired menus, reflecting both Boulud’s travels and the regions where Beyond sails. Inaugural departure: April 27; from $1,909.
This spring, American Queen Voyages debuts with the launch of the 186-passenger Ocean Victory, an expedition vessel that will sail 12- and 13-day itineraries through Alaska’s Inside Passage, as well as 15-day voyages between San Diego and San José (Puerto Caldera), Costa Rica, in the spring and fall. The ship’s X-Bow design promises a smoother, quieter ride in choppy seas, while sea-level fold-down decks make for easier Zodiac boarding, and a sliding overwater viewing platform provides close marine-life encounters. Inaugural departure: April 18; from $5,099.
