Here we are again, just a little over a month away from our General Convention in Tullahoma. We are looking forward to a great time this year. We are going to have several ministers in attendance who have never been in our Convention in previous years. Also some who have not been in a long time. It will be good to see everyone again. I wish to remind all the members of the Executive Board, please make plans to attend. The organization is depending on you. I think the crowning achievement of our convention would be to see new peo-

ple receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I believe we are living in a time when people are more interested in promoting themselves than in the promotion of the plan of salvation. We must surrender our authority to a higher power that we cannot control. It is high time for us to get out of God's way and let Him have complete control of our lives and our churches and most of all this organization. We make plans to do this or that and leave God out of the picture. The sooner we realize that God is in charge and we are His servants, the sooner we

can realize the complete blessings of the Lord that He wants us to have We are limiting the power of God. Let's let Him do what He wants to do. Love you all, Bishop Bogue

Standing On the Shoulders of Giants “Remember them that had the rule over you, men that spake unto you the word of God; and considering the issue of their life, imitate their faith” Heb 13:7 Bishop H.E. Honea was a man of deep, abiding faith in God and love for people. He went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2009 leaving behind an impressive legacy of life and ministry. Born Oct. 30, 1939. He was saved

and called to preach in April 1953, filled with the Holy Ghost in 1955 and baptized in Name of Jesus Christ in 1958. He preached in 32 states, 3 foreign countries and pastored in 4 states. Ordained Bishop in 1965, Bishop Honea ordained 120 ministers and 32 surrendered to preach under his ministry. Bishop Honea pastored the Tullahoma Church for 46 years and founded the First

Church of Jesus Christ Organization in 1965, and the Banner of Love in 1966. He will be remembered as a tenderhearted, loving and forgiving man of faith whose life passion was the Kingdom of God. We do well to follow his example.

A Walk in Faith If you dare to believe God’s Word, there is no situation that God can not turn around. The doctors may have told you there’s no hope, your bank account may be empty and the creditors knocking on the door. There may be trouble in your family or on your job. Your problems may be stacked so high you feel you can never overcome them. But don’t let the devil fool you. Nothing hinders God when you have faith in His Word. What’s more, faith believes god’s Word because God said it—whether circumstances seem to agree or not. Keep put-

ting the word into your heart day after day until faith rises up within you. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Ro 10:17). In Hebrews chapters 10 and 11, we learn about what Jesus said regarding how we live by faith. However, warnings in Heb. 10:26 says that after we receive the knowledge of the truth, if we willfully return to our sin, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins but, the expectation of certain judgment. Jesus warns sternly about insulting the Spirit of Grace. But in verse 35. He says not to cast away our confi-

dence which has great reward. After you have endured and after you have done the will of God you may receive the promise you are standing in faith for. Do not be defeated by weariness. Do not lose faith and get distracted by circumstances. Above all, do not fall into sin. Keep His Word in front of your eyes and in your ears until you can see it coming to pass with the eyes of your spirit Be Blessed. —-Shelia Yates

Ministry News Please be sure to address all FCJC mail to The First Church of Jesus Christ c/o Elder Harold Moon 274 Carter Blake Rd. Tullahoma, TN 37388 His phone number is 931-247-5559 —————————————————— The FCJC is seeking ministers and aspiring ministers. Churches are autonomous and ministers are selfsupporting. We are a pioneering effort seeking to

expand into all States and we need your help in recruiting others to the cause of Christ. We believe and practice Acts 2:38, 2:4; Jn 3:5; Dt. 6:4 Hundreds of thousands await the sound of True Gospel Preachers, bringing the message of True Biblical Salvation. This rich and beautiful harvest field is ready for the hands of the reapers. Revival lies within the bosom of men of God such as your-

self who are awakened by the Macedonian cry. Perhaps God has been dealing with your heart to accept the challenge of “NOW” evangelism and ministry. Contact Elder Harold Moon for an application and information. (931)247-5559 Blessings!

Editor’s Desk I came across II Corinthians 4:15 recently. Paul had been talking about the conflicts between the false teachers and his own work, and he writes: “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundance of grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God” My first thought was, what a

wonderful theme verse for the First Church of Jesus Christ.

and millions need to be trained.

None of us are doing this for our own benefit. We do it so the message of the Oneness of God, His true identity and His glorious grace will reach more and more people. We want FCJC to grow, not because we want to run a large ministry, but because billions of people have not yet heard,

We want to see people saved and thankful. And at the end of the day, we want them to praise our glorious Lord. This is why we do what we do. Thank you for your efforts. Tell others about this work, and support it with your tithes and offerings. We need your help. God Bless You All!

The Word of God: A More Sure Covenant The Word of God is our ultimate rule of faith and action. It is our final authority. Our experience must be judged by Scripture not Scripture judged by experience. The Word of God is forever settled in Heaven. We must settle it on earth and in our hearts. Notice Psalm 119:89 says the Word is FOREVER settled. It will never change. What it says now it will say 100 years from now, You are not going to get God to change His mind to agree with

you. You must change your mind to agree with Him. This means that God has set His Word as a rule and a boundary beyond which no Christian should go. If it is not in the Bible, you should not do it. If it IS in the Bible that is exactly what you should both do and teach. True Biblical Christianity is Apostolic, Pentecostal, and Oneness. Repentance, Water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and Holiness are abso-

lutely essential to salvation Jesus Christ is God! God is NOT a trinity! Pastors, I am especially interested in what is happening in your churches and ministries. Please let me hear from you at: Larry L Yates 1819 S 8th Street Ironton, OH 45638 740-237-4548

We desire not only to see believers live victoriously, but to help them become rooted and grounded enough in God’s Word to reach out and teach others these same principles
