first AMD CPU that was created was in 2005. AMD recently released their highend and expensive CPU, AMD RYZEN Threadripper. The Threadripper has 16 cores and 32 threads, but it only costs $1000. AMD thrives on cheap materials because they want the product to be cheaper. The con of having a cheaper built CPU is heat. Doug Mammoser is a chip engineer who works for AMD. “The smaller you can build the circuit the more you can build on a single wafer,” Mammoser said, “and therefore the cost goes down for each because the wafer cost is the same whether they are building one square one in it or 10000.” The cost of the wafer to create a AMD chip stays the same no matter what, so the more circuits packed on one wafer the more value for each wafer. This and using cheaper materials is how the AMD processors stay very cheap. “The i9 processor is an extreme

Intel has been making CPUs since 1970. Recently Intel released the new i9 CPUs, and they are a new category of CPU. The i9 are categorized as extreme CPUs which means they are meant for extreme multi-tasking, such as, 3D simulations and video editing. The most expensive and highest end CPU is the Intel i9 7980 XE which is priced around $2000, and it has 18 cores and 36 threads. AMD started in 1969, but made their first graphics board in 1985. The

ducation has been evolving away from the basic pencil and paper. It is now becoming more and more technology based. Today, technology plays such a big part in education, without it, people probably wouldn’t know what to do. Grant Enderson, ninth grader at Austin High Global Studies, had a lot to say about technology and his thoughts on it in education. “Technology makes my work more organized and makes it easy to understand things,” Enderson said. “It is a life saver. I couldn’t imagine what I would do. It has just become a norm in my life. When I have a question about something, I go to Google and search it up. It is a simple thing like google that makes my life so much easier. ” A search engine isn’t the only thing the Google provides that is helpful to students, there are multiple programs like google docs where students are able to make documents, edit, and store them all online. “Google docs is very simple and is convenient because you are able to work on documents wherever you are as long as you have internet access,” Endresen said, adding students commonly use Docs to complete projects
and write essays. “I use Google Docs a lot when I write essays because it is easy to use,” he explained. “I can construct an essay in a matter of minutes and share it with friends to edit it. It doesn’t get much easier than that.”

As with anything, there are pro’s and con’s, but overall, everyone agreed that technology is beneficial to technology. As Vigil put, “It is definitely a good thing. It has made my job and the kids learning much more efficient and easy. The kids seem to love it, and after all, that’s really what it is all about, the kids!”

Google Docs
Google docs is a free Web-based application where documents and spread sheets can be created and shared. You can also edit your own work and the work of others. Lots of students tend to use Google Docs because of it simplicity.
Tech in Education
Canvas
Canvas is an application that allows teachers to post all the assignments and homework that was worked on in previous classes and what is due in future classes. It is extremely hulpful for the students and the teachers.
Projector
Projectors are devices that take an image generated by a computer and reproduce them onto a screen, wall, or any surface really. It is a very convinient tool for teachers to use to teach to larger classes.
Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a blended learning platform developed by Google for schools that is maid to simplify gading and turning in asiignments without using paper.
Kahoot
Kahoot is a platform where teachers can enter questions and create a “kahoot� where students compete to see who can answer the questions right and the fastest. It is an easy and fun way to learn.

If someone accidentally shatters the screen on their smartphone, they will most likely take it to the repair shop to get it fixed. What happens to the device while it is in the shop remains somewhat of a mystery for most people.
Perhaps the easiest types of devices to repair are desktop PCs, such as the ones commonly found in offices, where the components inside are accessed by simply removing a few screws and removing the side panel. From here, a majority of the components are attached to the motherboard via interfaces such as PCI-Express for expansion cards such as video cards or sound cards, or SATA for hard drives. The CPU is generally inserted into a socket on the motherboard, and can also be removed. The RAM on a desktop is also generally inserted into the motherboard via a standard interface. On most models, all of the components are removable and can be easily swapped if any one of them breaks or is simply getting too old, and no special tools are required for the process. This is why building PCs has become such a popular hobby in recent years. However, there are still plenty of examples of nonstandard hardware which can be found in desktops.
