From November 18th through January 7th, the Las Colinas Urban Center and common property areas will transform into a dazzling display of holiday merriment.

This year, over 600,000 lights and a herd of 68 reindeer have been installed as part of the Las Colinas Association holiday lighting program.

Use our holiday lights guide (displayed left) to map out where to find the life-size reindeer herd and experience over half a million breathtaking lights.

Irving Frost Half Marathon Toyota Music Factory

The Irving Marathon Running series will host its annual Frost Half Marathon on December 18th. Event distances include a family fun run/ walk, 5k run/walk, 10k and a half marathon. The race benefits the Irving Schools Foundation. To register visit IrvingMarathon.com. Dec.

Wells Fargo announces regional office in Las Colinas

San Francisco banking giant, Wells Fargo, will build a new campus near the corner of Las Colinas Boulevard and Promenade Parkway, across from the Toyota Music Factory. In addition to bringing its current Dallas-Fort Worth workforce of 3,000 to the site, Wells Fargo has pledged to create 650 new jobs by 2028 and will invest $455 million into the campus.

Mixed-use development to join Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo’s planned regional campus will have a neighbor on Lake Carolyn’s north shore. Mirasol Capital plans to build a 17-acre-mixed-use project between the Wells Fargo site and the Toyota Music Factory. The development plans call for an elevated multifamily dwelling with retail and public open space along the lakefront.

New owners to convert Four Seasons to a Ritz-Carlton

Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas will receive a $55 million repositioning and relaunch as The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas, in 2024. Marriott International, Inc. will assume management of the resort at the end of this year and take on the capital improvement plan to convert the property to The Ritz-Carlton brand.

McKesson acquires RxSavings Solutions

McKesson has acquired a prescription price transparency firm in a deal valued at up to $875 million. RxSavings Solutions (RxSS) works with health plans and employers reaching more than 17 million people. McKesson will pay $600 million upfront and up to $275 million additionally based on how RxSS performs financially through 2025.

Las Colinas-based RailPros plans to hire 200 people

RailPros provides engineering and construction services for the rail industry, including all seven of Class I railroads, short line railroads, commuter rail systems and more. The company has more than 900 employees and plans to hire 200 by the end of this year.

Irving Convention Center at Las

Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas won the gold Stella award for Best Convention Center in the Southwest. The Stella Awards herald organizations across the globe that consistently deliver superlative service and innovation across all sectors of the meetings and events industry.

James Avery store coming to Las

Colinas

We have exciting news for all the James Avery Artisan Jewelry lovers in Las Colinas. A new store will be opening soon at 76012 North MacArthur Boulevard #190. Keep an eye on our social media channels (@LasColinasTex) for an official opening date.

Lake Carolyn Promenade closure

A section of Lake Carolyn Promenade at approximately 851 E. Las Colinas Boulevard will be closed through March 2023, weather permitting, for development on the site.

A temporary path around the site will be set up for visitors. Pedestrians are advised to avoid work areas and pay attention to closure signage.

New bakery open in Canal Centre

Montecito Baking Co. has opened in Canal Center located at 400 East Las Colinas #130. They are open Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and serve coffee, pastries, breakfast items and tea.

Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting

The Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Meeting presented by FlowServe on October 19th. The Annual Meeting celebrated the Chamber’s 90th anniversary and inducted the new chairwoman of the board, Janie Perelman.

National Night Out

Neighborhoods across Irving-Las Colinas gathered for block parties in celebration of National Night Out, an initiative to bring communities and law enforcement together. LCA Security stopped by each gathering to meet with members and distribute giveaways.

Family Adcovacy Center

On Wednesday, September 14th, twentyeight bowling teams and their cheering squads descended upon Pinstack Las Colinas for some friendly competition in support of the Irving Family Advocacy Center. With all lanes sold out, dozens of volunteers and Stay & Play ticket holders, Pinstack was bustling with activity. The night was made possible by our gracious sponsors; AlphaGraphics Irving, Nexstar Charitable Foundation, NEC Corporation of America, American Solutions for Business and Neighborly.

The Las Colinas Association in partnership with the Irving Marathon Running Series hosted the second annual Paws Colinas 5K-9 on October 22nd. Over 400 runners and their furry best friends embarked on a 5K run through the picturesque, shaded Campion Trail. Runners and pups celebrated their accomplishments after the run with a post-race party complete with breakfast tacos, beverages and a vendor fair. Each pup and human also received medals.

Las Colinas Day of the Dead Canalside Celebration

The U.S.-Mexico Educational and Cultural Foundation in partnership with the Las Colinas Association held the Las Colinas Day of the Dead Canalside Celebration on Mandalay Canal on November 1st. Over 2,000 people filled the canals to celebrate and learn about the holiday. Entertainment included mariachi music, theatre performance, gondola rides and 14 foot tall puppets called mojigangas. Guests sampled mezcal from Zunte, flautas from Fajita Pete’s, custom guacamole blends from Avocados from Mexico and pan de muerto. Kids enjoyed arts and crafts and face painting.

Special Meeting of Members Recap

A Special Meeting of Members of the Las Colinas Association was held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 for the purpose of amending Supplementary Declaration 163. In order to hold the annual meeting and special meetings, a quorum must be met by members of the LCA. This requirement ensures that our members have a voice in what’s happening in their community.

We are pleased to report that the amendment passed with 52,966,851 votes in favor. Thank you to all members who took the time to vote.

LAS COLINAS

Horsing around

The Las Colinas Equestrian Center opened January 1, 1982 at 600 Royal Lane. The 42-acre facility featured 104 horse stalls with automatic watering systems, large hay and grain feeders, an overhead automatic fly spray system and superior ventilation throughout the building. One of the largest arenas in the southwest was attached to the main barn. The Mercedes Grandprix of Las Colinas was held at the center in the spring of 1984, 1985 and 1986. The premier horse jumping competition had cash prizes totaling $30,000. The competitor that made the route with the fewest penalties and fastest time won.
