ICONIC RESORT REBORN AS RITZ-CARLTON DALLAS, LAS COLINAS WITH MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR REVAMP

On January 23rd, the transformation of The Las Colinas Resort, Dallas, culminated in its rebranding to The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas. The unveiling took place during a ribbon-cutting ceremony, showcasing the redesigned lobby, reception areas and the much-anticipated Bar Juniper, the resort’s premier lobby bar. Knife Italian, a concept from the talented Michelin starred Chef and restaurateur, John Tesar is anticipated to open in March.

CITY OF IRVING GREEN LIGHTS TOYOTA MUSIC FACTORY UPDATES

To enhance the true potential of the Toyota Music Factory, the venue will receive a remodel to build and improve upon the entertainment district. The improvements will include a revamp of the plaza and outdoor stage, new signage, artwork, and enhancements to its storefronts. Construction is scheduled to begin mid-March and will continue through October 2024.

IRVING-LAS COLINAS IS A TOP CITY FOR FOREIGN BUSINESS

Irving ranked fourth, right behind Plano and ahead of Dallas, in the Financial Times list of best cities for foreign business. The Financial Times list is a comprehensive evaluation of cities across the U.S., measuring performance in categories including workforce and talent, openness, business environment, foreign business needs, quality of life, investment trends and aftercare.

KINAXIS OPENS IRVING-LAS COLINAS OFFICE

Canada based Kinaxis is expanding their global footprint with a new office in Irving-Las Colinas, designed as a central hub for collaboration and innovation. This move brings them closer to their growing U.S. customer base and reinforces their commitment to solving the world’s most complex supply chain challenges.

IRVING-LAS COLINAS NAMED SECOND HARDEST WORKING CITY IN U.S.

In a recent survey by WalletHub, Irving-Las Colinas was ranked the second hardest working city in the U.S. WalletHub found their rankings based on 11 different metrics, including “employment rate to average weekly work hours to the share of workers with multiple jobs.”

On December 12, 2023, Las Colinas’ newest residential community, Avadene at Las Colinas, broke ground on its 22-acre development. The gated community is located at 7500 Las Colinas Blvd. and offers 73 luxury custom homes by Alexander Hunt Distinct Homes. LCA NEWS AND UPDATES

MANDALAY CANAL LIGHTS

The permanent tree lighting display shines bright in white every evening, year-round. But during select events and holidays, visitors can take in special themed light and sound shows at the heart of the Mandalay Canal. Take note of the upcoming light shows listed on the calendar to the right or follow along for future date annoucements on our social media channels @LasColinasTex.

GET IT APPROVED BEFORE IT IS IMPROVED

Prior to starting a new construction or property improvement project, please first submit plans to the Las Colinas Association (LCA). Any exterior changes to properties must be approved by LCA’s Architectural Control Committee (ACC) before any work is started. This applies to residential and commercial properties located in Las Colinas. Plans can be submitted through the ACC submission form at lascolinas.org/submission-form.

Do you own a residential property? Additional approvals and/or submissions forms may be required by your neighborhood HOA. Please contact your respective HOA to learn more.

ASSESSMENT RATE CHANGE

At the November 2023 board meeting, the Las Colinas Association’s Board of Directors approved another reduction in the annual assessment rate. Beginning in 2024, the rate will be reduced to 0.115 (eleven and a half cents) for each $100 dollars of the appraised market value by the Dallas Central Appraisal District.

OFFICER ANDREW ESPARZA MEMORIAL 5K

Sixteen years ago, Irving Police Officer, Andrew Esparza, passed away in an automobile accident while on duty and en route to assist a fellow officer.
