We all have a Responsibility in Keeping our Community Healthy We are ready and excited to see everyone again! Our summer program and school will open and we are all committed to keeping our community healthy and making our reopening a success.

This is a community effort and we all play a crucial role in taking appropriate precautions at home and at school. We are grateful for your support under normal circumstances and even more so now. Please continue to support each other and the steps we are taking to ensure the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff.

We rely on you to use best practices outside of school to limit the spread of Covid-19 off-campus and ask that you adhere to guidelines set out by the city and state.

This is a Live Document This document captures the steps we are taking now to keep our community safe starting with our summer program.

While we know some of the changes will still apply next school year, there will be changes between now and the first day of school.

We will continue to edit this document pending guidance from the Department(s) of Health (SF and California), CDC, WHO and best practices being implemented by other International schools from around the world.

Current School Start Dates Starting early is a proactive measure we decided to take for added flexibility should we need to temporarily close campuses later in the school year. The extra week together will help keep us bonded and our relationships strong. We are aware these dates may need to change again pending guidance from the city. We are continuing to evaluate which days we will close in the 2020-21 school year to make up for the earlier start dates.

We Need More Information Before We Know... ●

What You Can Do

Keep our Community Healthy ●

Come healthy: students, faculty and staff

Closely monitor your health and that of your child and family

Cooperate with Daily Health Screening procedures

Ensure you return from any international travels 14 days prior to coming on campus. If you or anyone in your household travels internationally, or anywhere by airplane - we will require that you and the person(s) who traveled to self-quarantine for 14 days before the day you are scheduled to return to campus. This is part of our continuous efforts to minimize risk of exposure in our community.

You will be required to sign this Acknowledgement Form

Talk to your child about the importance of keeping good hygiene practices

Talk to your child about social distancing (we prefer to call it physical distancing!) © La Scuola Last updated 5/29/20

Take your child’s temperature at home daily prior to coming to campus and report it (more details on how this will work will be shared when we receive them from the Health Department). Students will also have thier temperature taken by La Scuola staff upon arrival.

While this may mean more sick days, know we are putting measures in place to ensure any child that must stay home remains connected to the learning. We’ll rely on the growing expertise and resources we’ve developed through our virtual learning these past few months to ensure continuity and engagement. © La Scuola Last updated 5/29/20
