BULLDOG STORYLINES • Louisiana Tech begins a three-game road stretch on Saturday when they take on Saint Louis at 7 p.m. inside Chaifetz Arena. The Bulldogs will be away from home a lot over the next month with five of their next six games on the road. • LA Tech led wire-to-wire in an 89-60 victory over Southeastern this past Tuesday. The Bulldogs shot a season-best 53.8 percent from beyond the arc while knocking down a season-high 14 three-pointers in what was their fourth straight win and their ninth in the last 10 games.

• Tahlik Chavez continued to stay hot, scoring a game-high 22 points versus the Lions (his third 20+ scoring performance in the last four games). He went 6-of-8 from three-point range, giving him 30 triples on the season which ranks 38th in the country. • Isaiah Crawford was voted as the Conference USA Preseason Player of the Year, and so far this season he is certainly making his case for it. The Bulldog currently ranks top two on the team in almost every category -- points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, etc -- which all also rank in the top 10 in CUSA. In fact, he is one of only two players in the country with at least 150 points, 50 rebounds, 30 assists, 25 steals, and 10 blocks. • After missing three games due to an ankle injury, Sean Newman Jr. made his return against Southeastern. He came off the bench to play 20 minutes, tallying eight points and five assists. It was his seventh time in his eight games with at least four dimes.

• Last season, the Bulldogs were mediocre when it came to rebounding. They averaged just 34.70 boards per game as well as just 23.82 defensive rebounds per game, a stat that ranked 253rd in the country. LA Tech has rectified this so far this season, proving to be one of the top rebounding teams in the nation. The ‘Dogs are averaging 41.09 FEBRUARY rebounds per game as well as 28.82 defensive boards per contest, both ranking in the 1 at FIU* ESPN+ 6 p.m. top 50. • LA Tech currently ranks in the top 10 in the country in scoring defense (61.1) and field goal percentage defense (37.0). The Bulldogs have held eight of their 11 opponents to less than 38 percent shooting, which is the most of any team in the nation.

A LA TECH WIN...

@LATECHHOOPS

• Would give the Bulldogs their second five-game winning streak this season. The last time they had multiple winning streak of at least fives was during the 2014-15 season. • Would give the Bulldogs their fifth win ever in the state of Missouri. LA Tech is 4-4 all time in the state with their last win coming in 2007 at Southeast Missouri.
