• Louisiana Tech gets set for its home opener Monday night when the Bulldogs face Lyon College at 6 p.m. CT inside the Thomas Assembly Center on Karl Malone Court. After opening up the season on the road, LA Tech will play four of its next five games in the TAC. • LA Tech had a 10-point lead with a little over 12 minutes to play in the game at Colorado State. However, 12 straight misses on offense played a key role in CSU going on a 23-2 run, flipping the game in their favor for an 81-73 win over the Bulldogs in the 2023-24 season opener in Fort Collins. • Three new Bulldogs -- Jaylin Henderson (16), Sean Newman Jr. (15), and Tahlik Chavez (11) -- scored in double figures. Newman Jr. also added a team-high five assists and three steals, becoming just the sixth LA Tech player since 2010 with his stat line in a single game (only one to do so in Bulldog debut).
• Despite being without two interior players, Daniel Batcho and Terri Miller Jr., the Bulldogs still owned the glass versus the Rams with a 39-23 rebounding edge. In fact, CSU was held without a single offensive rebound, something LA Tech has not allowed in a single game in at least 35 years. Dravon Mangum registered a game-high 10 JANUARY boards, one shy of tying his career high. 3 DALLAS CHRISTIAN 6 at Sam Houston* 11 at Middle Tennessee* 14 LIBERTY* 20 at Jacksonville State* 25 UTEP* 27 NEW MEXICO STATE*

• Lyon College will be the first of six opponents (others being Dillard, Grand Canyon, Dallas Christian, Liberty, and Jacksonville State) that LA Tech faces this season for the very first time. In the Bulldogs 96-year history, they have faced 284 different opponents.
• Forward Isaiah Crawford was named Conference USA Preseason Player of the Year in a vote by the league head coaches. The fifth-year senior is a two-time All-Conference USA selection. After recovering from his second season-ending knee injury, the FEBRUARY Fort Worth, Texas native started in 32 games last season while averaging a team-best 1 at FIU* ESPN+ 6 p.m. 13.7 points per game. He also anchored the Bulldogs with 5.3 rebounds per game and 7 WKU* ESPN+ 6 p.m. swiped 62 steals, the sixth most in a single season in program history. • After scoring six points in limited action at Colorado State, Isaiah Crawford needs just 13 points to become the 45th member of the 1,000-point club at LA Tech. He is also on pace to become just the fifth Bulldog in school history to reach 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 200 assists, and 100 steals for his career.

• Would improve the Bulldogs record to 1-1. LA Tech has not opened a season with losses on its first two games since the 2006-07 season. • Would be their 199th victory over a non-conference opponent inside the Thomas Assembly Center. The Bulldogs are 198-21 all-time versus non-conference foes in the TAC (95-5 in the last 16+ seasons).
