Layers... Winter is all about layers. You can design anything from jackets, dresses, pants, skirts, tops, vests and coats. Make sure your designs are versatile, wearable and in season. They need to fit within the companies ‘Signature Style’ however be sure to show your individuality in your designs. Design staple pieces that can work under, over or with other garments to be sure that the buyer can get maximum wear out of your creations.
Signature Style Our signature style at Launch, is what we call ‘Urban Career’. We want your designs to fit across day wear and night wear, so buyers can get maximum wear out of your creations! The idea of ‘Urban Career’ is Career Wear meets Street Wear. So think anywhere from Country Road to Whitchery to Sass & Bide.

Fabric Choices
Navy and Latte Mid Weight Wool Blend. This fabric is mid weight and is slightly textured. Can be used both ways.
Creme Knit. This fabric is a light weight, patterned knit.
Fabric Choices Navy Brushed Silk. Very light weight brushed silk in Navy. This fabric is slightly transparent when held up in the light. Orange Light Weight Cotton. This fabric is very light weight and very soft. It is slightly transparent when held up in light. Nougat Mid Weight fabric. This fabric is mid weight with a slight sheen in the stitching on one side of the fabric. This fabric is opaque.
Guide Lines - You MUST design using one or two of the fabrics provided for the season. - You must use the colours of the fabrics provided You Must Submit in the Template - Fashion Illustration of your garment - Trade Sketch of your garment - ‘About My Design’ - ‘Which Fabrics To Use’ - ‘Trims & Accessories’ - If you design wins you must submit a detailed spec sheet
To Submit To submit your designs simply download the submission kit from the resources section on the website. Once you have filled out the template, log onto the web, and submit your design. It is just that easy! The template must be in JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF, EPS, TIFF, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop formats. You can submit as many designs as you like to increase your chances of winning. Opening Date: 1st April 2010 Closing Date: 30th April 2010
The Reward Launch Initiative will manufacture your design and distribute it for sale to top retail outlets, complete with your name on the label, and a swing tag all about you. The designer remains in complete control of their design and receives a 10% royalty from the sale. The same as a professional designer. The designer will always own the submitted design, you simply license the design to Launch Initiative for a short period of time.
