Green Core Lyon, France
Italy, 2019.
Lyon is mostly known as an economic center with many corporate headquarters and bustling financial, a city rich in historical and architectural heritage. In the heart of the city of Lyon, the confluence district emerges as one of the most significant urban projects in Europe, a space for modern architecture and futuristic design. This urban utopia presents a vital challenge dedicated to those who live in the city. A survey made on the Confluence shows the perfection of design always depends on its relationship with the most critical factor at the time of development: the inhabitants. The Confluence holds a variety of equipment and housing, and despite being well-positioned, is a zone of passage and recreation that doesn`t generate an accurate appropriation of the urban space.
Academic project
Urban design
The idea of a project was born from creating an innovation district in La Confluence through incurring in actions related to sustainability and urban agriculture. The heart of the project is developed as a series of programmed green spaces and buildings that surrounds them.

The idea of a new city development that links this important node with the rest of Lyon generates a variety of opportunities. Always from the perspective of how inhabitants would live this place with historic and natural character and a point of strategic content. The opportunity of the Confluence lies in demonstrating what the people living in the area require, evaluating what happens and generate a participation system that links the architecture with its main protagonist.
1. Urban Belt Concentrate strategically the construction development along the perimeter of the site.

The project consists in a combination of public spaces, commerce, culture, housing, offices, and leisure, spaces that generate life in the abandoned areas of la Confluence. In order to accommodate this dynamic mix of people and lifestyle, the proposal provides a series of diverse buildings wich each separately hold different typologies with varied densities.

CS: This project aims to propose a new development of social housing in Cartagena. The project relies on a range of strategies that aim to privilege interaction (inside and outside) and flexibility. Always in line with a resilience principle.
Cartagena de Indias is located on the northern coast of Colombia. In this territory collides different models of the city, the historic medieval town and the contemporary expansions demarcated by the social reality of Latin American. Cartagena brings together two opposite faces of Latin America reality. On the one hand, the city of tall buildings, where commercial complexes and beautiful apartments emerge daily, and on the other, the formation of informal territories that are increasingly adding more to the expansion and occupation of the land. The informal occupation of the territory has manifested itself as a process of growth along waterfronts, having a
direct impact on the deterioration of the ecological structure of the region, but also establishing precarious and insecure social and living conditions.

Metodologic guide of residential Patrimony Interventions at the historical Center of Mompox,Colombia
MG: This guide proposes some strategies with local techniques and materials in order to adapt the patrimony to a functional, changing environment. Always thinking of its values as a priority in order to keep its identity. Mompox has been World Heritage since 1995 for being a clear example of a way of life in a specific time in human history. Due to the isolated location of Mompox, the city center has preserved the architectonic patrimony. However, features and modifications had occurred in the colonial houses. The lack of resources, misinformation, and the absence of interest from the local authorities had transformed the housing heritage into an unrecognizable state.
