Welcome to Laura Ashley Spring/Summer 2014 Home Always a wonderful and fresh season for print and colour, SS14 heralds the introduction of five exciting new stories for the brand. Starting with our charming County Show (p2) – a warm and relaxing story, emphasising how home is where the heart is. Featuring prints using geraniums in pale cranberry and a playful wallpaper design called Pantry, this story works particularly well in the kitchen with its focus on spending time entertaining family and friends. Moving on to our boldest collection this season, Flamboyance (p12) uses large scale lustrous patterns and materials in tones of grey, silver and pewter complemented by pops of violet – it is unashamedly glamorous. Taking inspiration from all things floral, Flower Marquee (p14) transports the English countryside into the home with a brand new palette of apple and cyclamen. Clean modern stripes and fresh simple checks complement the signature floral designs of Honeysuckle Trail and Floral Trellis as well as our sweet bird design, Aviary Garden. Next is our Freshwater story (p20), perfect for those looking for calm and collected laid back style this season. This minimalist decorating scheme includes just a handful of tonal colours and is all about creating a harmonious canvas, so that touches of individuality can be added to stylish effect. Our last story Operetta (p24), brings pretty and romantic, country house elegance to this season’s collections. A sophisticated look with inspiration taken from a beautiful English country house and garden, Operetta includes ornate new prints and weaves Rose Hill, Mayhew and Tetbury. Also, don’t miss our Easter collection on page 30 where you will find everything from egg hunt kits to paper pom poms – something for the whole family to enjoy!
