Bauer Publishing is a German company that took over Emap’s consumer arm in February 2008. It’s the third-largest consumer magazine publisher in the UK. It overtook IPC with more than 80 titles and about 25% of the consumer market. Bauer is a publishing brand that include women’s weekly and TV listing magazines, like Bella, Take a Break, that’s life!, TVChoice, and Total TVGuide.

They also published a number of puzzle magazines. Bauer media is a multi platform media group, with locations across the UK. Bauer media group also acquired a collection of media brands. This includes heat and Grazia as well as national radio brands such as KISS FM UK and Magic. In 2013, they also acquired the Absolute Radio Group from Times of India. Looking at Bauers music publications, they published Q magazine, which have also expanded to Radio and Television (Q Radio and Q TV). Q also holds annual music awards in the UK, known as Q Awards. Other music magazines they published include Kerrang! magazine and MOJO magazine. Kerrang specialises in rock music, and originally started as a magazine. In 2004, Kerrang Radio was launched. They also have a Kerrang TV channel.

The Debrief is an online magazine aimed at women in their 20s, originally launched in 2004. Bauer have also published Closer, the UK edition of Grazia, Heat, and Yours. Closer specialises mainly in celebrity news and gossip, real-life stories, and television/entertainment. The UK edition of Grazia was launched in 2005. It’s a woman’s weekly magazine, and is a multi-platform brand, working online, in print and digitally. There was also an iPad edition released in 2012. Heat is a British celebrity weekly. It’s main focus is celebrity interviews, gossip, fashion advice, and entertainment. Heat has four different forms; in print, radio, television, and online. Yours is a fortnightly lifestyle magazine and website aimed at women aged 50 and over. Bauer also publishes Motor Cycle News and Parker’s Car Guide. As suggested by the titles, they are motorcycle and car magazines aimed at men. Bauer Media Group has a 50% stake in the British television company Box

TeamRock is a small magazine publisher. The magazines they publish are Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Prog, and The Blues Magazine. The description TeamRock gave themselves is ‘We Are TeamRock! On their website, they have links to TeamRock merchandise, and there are also various music related games to play. Their social medias are advertised all over their website. Though they are a small publishing company, they are quickly becoming more and more popular. Metal Hammer and Classic Rock magazine are both extremely popular magazines, so TeamRock is building a larger audience every week.
