What is climate?

ď‚— Climate is the characteristic

state of the atmosphere in a place. ď‚— Climate can be warm or cold, dry or humid.

Some Factors that Affect Climate

¡Proximity to the Equator:

-Not all the Earth recieves an equal amount of heat from the Sun. Regions near the Equator recieve more heat, while the Poles recieve less. Spain is located in the temperature zone in Northern Hemisphere.

Some Factors that Affect Climate Distance from the sea: -Water heats up and cools down more slowly than land. As a result, temperatures on the coast are milder. Consequently, in island areas, summers are much hotter and winters are much colder than on the coast.

Some Factors that Affect Climate

¡ Altitude:

-The climate of a mountain region is colder than on

plains. This is because temperature fall as altiude increases.

Mountain climates are also more humid because clouds collide with the mountains and it rains and snows

Proximity to the Equator Depending on how near to the Equator is the zone, is coller or hotter

We are in the Temperate Zone.

Coldest: Poles Normal: Temperate Zone Hottest: Hot Zone

Distance From the Sea Water heats up and cools down slowlier than land

So, in island areas, summers are hotter and winters colder.

Altitude

Temperature fall as altitude increases

Climates of Spain ď‚— There are five different climates in Spain:

-Mediterranean -Continental Mediterranean -Oceanic -Subtropical -Mountain
