My Name ! My name is Kaleb. Kaleb in english means courage or brave, and I believe it fits me well because I am willing to do anything that sounds fun and if I have never done something before and it seems scary I will most likely try it. Also it means to be faithful or bold which I can also relate to because when it comes down to promises or just doing what people ask of me I can be trusted to do what they ask. ! Next, the color that I think fits with my name would be a light blue like the sky in the spring. It makes me feel warm and happy. It seems like a simple name to me and a light blue seems like a super simple color. ! In addition, how I got my name is a very short story, I got my name because of my older sister and brother. Their names are Kelly and Kyle, which both start with the letter ‘K’. My name really has no family meaning to it other than it is just another name that starts with ‘K’. It does not matter to me though because honestly I like the name Kaleb, it seems different than everyone else’s. Because Most Kaleb’s are spelt with a ‘C’ and not a ‘K’ so it makes me feel kind of special. ! Lastly, I feel my name really does not describe who I am, the name Kaleb to me seems like a nice, gentle, and kind person. I am not saying that I do not try to be kind and nice but I feel like I am more than that and that I can be bad and not always be nice to people. All in all, I really do like the name Kaleb, it seems fitting to me.

My Neighborhood ! My neighborhood is a nice, sweet, and calm place. There are around ten families that live on my street. All ten are very nice families and I have a few life long friends from here. One of them would Sam Loughan, he has always been there for me and is a great friend. We do everything together, for example, we go fishing wishing we will catch something but never do, play a few pick-up games of football or baseball, and just hang out. He is the greatest friend someone could ask for, he is always there for me when I need him and is always in a good mood. There are other kids in my neighborhood but none nearly as close to me as he is. One of my other close friends moved away last year. His name was Cody Williams, he was a really nice and funny kid. He was in the same class as me and we connected in so many ways. Other than those two friends my neighborhood is nice, sweet, and calm. Everyone is a friend to everyone and they are always nice. I am proud to live on this street because everyone that lives on it gives it such a good name. I can trust anyone and everyone. A few other friends I have are Josh Ferlano, Kevin Fernholz, Jordan Bird, and Riley Olson. They always are super nice and like to have fun. Anytime we get a chance we are either playing football together or basketball at jordanâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s, itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a lot of fun!

The Big Game My biggest game would be last years game against Westby. Our football team was feeling kind of down due to losing our past three games, we needed a win! But like the other games it got really thin in the end. It was our last game so we thought we would leave everything on the table. Also with Robertâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s haiku we all were feeling really pumped out and ready to win. The first few quarters were both going our way. We had an early lead, we were up close to two touchdowns and wanted to keep it going. The third quarter the tides switched and we started losing our momentum, they were coming back hard and wanted they win just as bad as we did. The score started to become more even, we were still fighting hard to win, as the underdogs. Our coaches were hard on our backs to keep going, and we did. As the fourth quarter starts we were tired but still pushing for the win. We ended up scoring two more times, Robert had an all time greatest kicking percentage of 100%. Most games Robert would miss a few here and there, but not this game. They started giving up towards the end you could tell because of they way they were playing. They started not playing at all, they started missing tackles and having really bad runs. We ended up winning 28-20. This was awesome for us because we were 3-3 and needed that win. And we got it. Our coaches were so proud of us.

A Special Birthday My favorite birthday party ever would be my 10th. Because of all the gifts I got were so good and enjoyable. Also I got to go to Chuck-E-Cheeseâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s with all of my friends. I had so much and I got so many prizes from all the tickets we got from playing the games there. All my friends also said they hand a ton of fun! I donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t understand why I remember this birthday party, it just stuck in my head because of how happy I was. Everyone tells me about how small and smiley I was back then. I have changed a lot since then. I am much older now and I have grown into a much more serious faze in my life. I think that I will stay in this faze for the rest of my life. But I want to go back to the way I was before, all smiley. It would be such a great thing to do. Be serious and yet be really happy. Times back then seemed so easy and fun, but know I have to grow up and be responsible for myself. But that one birthday stuck with my this whole time because of how good it was, and how it reminds me of how life was like back when I was younger. It was truly the best birthday part I have ever had. And hope it stays that way because of the great memory that comes with it. My favorite birthday party ever would be my 10th.

A Happy Time For Me A really happy time for me was when I switched schools to West Salem middle school, I started at Christ Saint Johns Lutheran School. I really didn’t want to switch schools because I thought it was very scary. But, I did want to switch because I couldn’t play sports at Christ Saint Johns anymore because West Salem changed their rules. I was disappointed, either I had to stay at Christ Saint Johns and not play sports or switch to West Salem and play. So I switched to West Salem. And I’m happy I did, it turns out that it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. I made friends quickly and enjoyed my sports very much. I only played football that year and we did pretty good. Also, because I played I think that helped me make more friends because of the whole “team” aspect to it. And I wanted to shine like a beam to everyone on the team so I tried so hard. Now after I been going here for three years I really enjoy it and hope to make more friends. Now that I am in high school it really doesn’t matter anymore because either way you are new to the school as a freshman. These next few years I am hoping will be really fun and filled with excitement! I hope others that were in my situation will find the fun in it like I did and just enjoy their lives. I truly think I chose the right thing when I switched in sixth grade.

Favorite Game From Childhood My favorite game from when I was little would be little toy racing cars or “army guys”. I had so much fun with them. They were my favorite passed time, I played with them so much my parents actually got mad at me for being with them so much. I would stay up really late on school nights playing army or “racing in the Daytona 500”, I would try to play with them quietly so I would not get caught then be grounded from them. Also after I started growing up a bit I started play “Nascar the game” on my brothers Playstation 2, and xbox 360. I loved doing races with my dad trying to beat him so bad but never winning. I tried winning by going backwards and trying to wreck him so I could beat him. I wouldn’t stop playing not even to eat. I also did this to my brother, it never worked! Now that I am growing up I like more sophisticated games but yet simple at the same time. Like Minecraft, I love Minecraft. It is a single player/multiplayer game. It is based around square blocks and is a very simple game but you can do really complicated things in it, for example, you can make huge buildings with extreme detail, a good looking castle, or maybe even a small little house. Either way I have grown up with games in my life and love them very much. They are part of my life and always will be. My favorite games were racing cars and army guys.

Advice From An Adult The best advice I have ever gotten from an adult would be “Just be yourself”. From my experiences I have learned it is the best way to do things. If you just be yourself people will treat you respect, be nice, and listen to you. Trying to be someone that you are not is honestly the worst way to do something. It is only going to lead to more lies and just end up with you in trouble. Lying never leads to anything good, it will eventually get out and no one will ever believe you again. Thats why being yourself is such an important thing in life. If you are yourself things will go your way and you will be happy with yourself in life. I now try to live by this motto in life and be myself so people with trust me, believe me, and overall just respect me. So far it has been working very well. Teachers respect me and I respect them. My parents now trust me with things they never have before because of how truthful I am to them and how I just be myself and show them who I really am. If I were to give someone a a piece of advice it would also have to be “just be yourself”. It’s the only way to get anywhere in this world. If you lie you will never achieve anything good and you should always be proud of yourself.

A Positive Story From School The best thing that I’ve done in school is go to D.C last year with my class. It was so much fun! We did so many things, we saw a lot of exhibits and really cool places. I had tons of fun with friends and overall had a really good experience there. Also one of the best parts would be being with Mrs. Bice before she retires. Honestly there are so many things that I could talk about but not enough time for them. It was just a great experience because you are somewhat on your own. Your parents aren’t there to help you with everything you need. For example, we stayed in rooms with three others, that gives you the whole you got to be a big kid now and do things on your own not when your parents tell you to do them. There is a lot of responsibility with leaving for a whole week. But it was loads of fun. When you get to go away with your friends for a whole week and not worry about anything but getting back to the bus on time. The best part is going site seeing at night when it’s all peaceful and everything is all lit up and looks really, really, really cool. The buss ride was really boring, all we could do is sleep, but I could never keep my eyes closed long enough to fall asleep. The trip overall was a great experience in my life, and I loved it.
