It’s amazing that it’s already June…where does the time go.

Over the course of the past 6 months, we have sent out a survey to the entire membership to ask how you feel we are doing. I know typically when this is done, anyone who has an opinion will fill it out and make sure their voice is heard. While the number of members taking the 5 minutes to fill this survey out wasn’t overwhelming, it did help us better understand where we need to focus. The survey includes all areas of the club, food and beverage, golf, tennis and pool. It asks about staffing, course condition, menus and a few other typical hot topics. There will be another round of surveys going out starting in July, so please keep your eye open for it and please help us by letting us know how you think we are doing.

The new restaurant Blu is just about ready to open with our anticipated grand opening on Friday, June 30th. Blu will be our newest dining offering and will cater to the more upscale dining experience. The dress code with be business casual, no shorts allowed, and will be open on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner service only. Blu will offer a unique menu, which will change slightly week to week and will only be available in Blu. Service will be more refined, and will take longer, so please know that we see this as the event for the evening and not just a quick bite to eat. The Blu lounge will also be open at the same time as Blu, as will the Chef’s Table. The Chef’s Table, with a maximum party size of 8, is situated directly in the kitchen so you and your guests will have a front row to witness how the kitchen makes their magic. There will only be approximately 40 seats in Blu, so please make sure to make your reservations early, as I anticipate it selling out very quickly.

Now that we are starting to get some of the bugs worked out with our new operating system, I’m happy to let you know that the Palmer House ordering from the app is now up and running. While you are enjoying a round of golf, make sure to place your order as you approach #6 or #14 so that when you arrive, your order will be ready and waiting for you. Also one of the other great features of the app is your ability to settle your bill on the app. On the home screen of the app there is a dollar sign with a circle around it. Anytime you have an order in one of the restaurants, a red dot will appear. Touch the red dot and you will be able to see your check and close it out at your leisure. Lastly I wanted to let you know we are aware of our current cart’s not performing as well as they have in the past. The COVID bump in rounds has caused their batteries to underperform. In the short term we are working on replacing as many of the batteries as we can. This should help until our new cart fleet arrives this fall. You heard it here first…yes we are getting an entirely new cart fleet sometime late summer, early fall. Once we have the exact date, we will be sure to let you all know.

Pool season is here so I hope I see you at the pool, enjoying the sun and some family time!
