at first glance , 1300 on fillmore is often pegged as one of the many trendy soulfusion restaurants that are popping up all over the Bay Area. Opening its doors in 2007, the establishment is still considered a neophyte in San Francisco’s celebrated Fillmore District. Its redefinition of Southern cuisine and the West Coast cool ambiance is not only keeping up with the Joneses, but has made them some of its most loyal patrons.
Quincy Jones and Nas have both already become frequent clientele in 1300 On Fillmore’s short tenure. “They’ve heard about 1300 and that the food is fantastic and that we have this big dedication to the whole theme of the Fillmore which was a heavy music scene,” Monetta White, General Manager/Owner of 1300 On Fillmore, says.
