Hello, I’m Wren
What happened last year? My main goal of level 4 was to fall back in love with making images again. I think by the end of level 5 I have achieved this fully. I LOVE IT.
September Over summer I : - Discovered I like writing poetry (and I’m ok) - Drew almost every day. - Fell in love with making lots of things - Explored a lot - Stayed happy I came into second year with a fresh brain and fresh ideas.
It felt good.

This is where I want to be. I discovered these practitioners in the beginning of 2nd year and I have repeatedly referred back to them in my own practice. The use of media, composition and product are things I want to improve in my own work. Kaye Blegvad Tallulah Fontaine
These are some great ladies.
October In October I explored using motifs in my work. I experimented a lot and figured out the direction my work would go in. THIS FELT SO DIFFERENT TO THIS TIME LAST YEAR.
November
JANUARY In JANUARY I realised the amount of work I needed to do. I made a three month plan to make sure I kept on top, and it worked! I took part in Illustration Friday which meant I was creating finished work on a weekly basis, which kept me sane.
FEBRUARY In FEBRUARY I started looking at my online presence and how professional I am as an Illustrator. I looked at what I had done previously, and realised it was massively outdated and no longer reflected who I was.

May Almost identical to may last year, the month of deadlines, which I referred to as being punched and knowing that It was about to happen. This is the month I have reaped the benefits fully of organising myself almost manically.
What next? - Explore Ceramics and Physical products - Develop my concept work - Become better at Lino and traditional print methods

• Continue to explore the use of wet media, controlling ink, creating depth through this. • Continue to place my work in a professional context. • Don’t let my web presence get cobwebs again. • Write a cohesive and explorative dissertation that I can be proud of.
And the rest? • Run away and become one with the wild horses. • Explore how I can advance my work onto ceramics. • A possible Masters in art therapy in Manchester. • Have an updated and continuous stream of work in an online store as extra income.
Thank you.
