HELLO. I’M LAUREN. I received my B.A. in Graphic Design with minors in illustration and fine art, at Flagler College, located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida. I am originally from the Tampa Bay area. My main focus is in advertising, branding, and marketing design but I am open to and enjoy all areas of design. I consider my design style simple, but I’m not afraid to move out of my comfort zone.

Save the Arts Advertising Campaign Save the Arts is an advertisement campaign created to promote art in schools. Schools are getting away from teaching art, which can cause students to be stressed and distracted in class. Students who are not given the opportunity to explore their creative side often struggle on standardized tests. It is proven that art helps combat this issue. Americans for the Arts would be the organization that would promote this campaign. The main target audience would be focused on kids, especially at the Elementary school level. But school administration and parents play a big part by encouraging them to be kids and use their imagination.

These mugs are part of a school fundraiser that allow kids to create a drawing which would be put on mugs for the children’s parents to cherish. Thanks to the kids at Ketterlinus Elementary School for the drawings.
This Interactive Children’s Coloring Sheet was designed so that kids can draw what makes them human. It can be a self portrait, or they can use their imagination.
Similar to the mug fundraiser, the children’s drawings are sent in and made into a calander. This is the perfect way for parents to keep track of their busy schedules while seeing the great imagination of their kids. Thanks to the kids at Ketterlinus Elementary School for the drawings.

Motivity UX/UI App Design Motivity is an app that allows users to locate local trails, track their hikes, and find state parks all on the same app. It must be designed in such a way so that the user is able to record and keep track of their workout while on the trail. This project was a user based concept out of research. Motivity was born after working with an individual to determine what their needs and wants were for a trail finder app. Motivity means the power of moving or producing motion. After all the research, the color blue was chosen to give the app a sense of variation from the other fitness and trail apps which consisted of earthy tones.

To boost awareness of the Motivity brand, a 5K event was created so that participants can use the app while on the walk and run. The event poster and the mile markers were designed in a similar style to the simplicity of the app.

Destill Branding and Service Design Destill is a fictional alcohol delivery service that caters to anyone 21 years or older. It is a 24 hour delivery service that will drive to someone’s house or party so people don’t have to worry about drinking and driving. The name Destill was created because alcohol is made and distributed in distilleries. The decision to make this black and white with a marble texture helps to portray Destill as a upscale type of service.

Dash Branding and Service Design Dash is a fictional recipe card subscription box. The subscriber would sign up through an app to get a new set of recipe cards every week. The first set of cards would come in a wooden box so that the user can store and keep their cards. They can then use the app to create a grocery list of the ingredients to use while in the store and customize what type of meals they would prefer.
Banana Bread 60 minutes
Ingredients
Serves 4
3 overripe bananas ½ cup sugar 1 ½ cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 egg ¼ cup melted butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray loaf pan with PAM.Mash bananas. Stir in other ingredients. Bake 45 minutes or until firm.

Mac and Cheese 45 minutes
Ingredients
2 cup macaroni 2 tbs grated onion 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tbs butter 12 oz velveta
Serves 6
White Sauce 2 tbs butter 2 tbs flour 2 cups milk
Directions
Layer and pour sauce over cooked macaroni. Dot with butter. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 mintues covered and 5 mintues uncovered.
Cole Slaw 10 minutes
Ingredients
Serves 6
1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 tsp Dijon mustard 2 tsp sugar (or sugar substitute if you prefer) 1/4 tsp celery seed (optional) 1 16-ounce bag of ready-shredded coleslaw mix
Directions
In a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, mustard, sugar and celery seed together. Empty coleslaw mix into a large bowl. Pour dressing on top and toss. If you need to thin it a little, add a tablespoon or two of nonfat milk. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Florida Farmers Market Event Planning and Promotional Florida Farmers Market is a fictional state wide farmers market where farmers and vendors from all over the state of Florida come together to sell their produce and products. This project was completely branded and created for a farmer’s market. This included promotionals for advertising the event, as well as, for the day of the event. The logo is styled with the inspiration of Florida, orange blossoms, and the color orange.

Enlighten Reading UX/UI App Design Enlighten Reading is a kid’s edutainment app focusing on reading comprehension in young readers. This app is filled with fun stories that the app can read to the user with the option to answer questions, as well as, read themselves. Enlighten means to give knowledge about a subject or situation. A fabricated persona was provided to relate this app to a child’s needs.
