Hi, I’m Lauren and I remember the days of not showering, sleep deprivation, and carrying around a little baby barnacle day in and day out. It is hands down how I developed my addiction to coffee. It is a wonderful and crazy ride and goes by all too fast. Documenting those first moments is so important and I am here to make it easy. No need to drag the baby out to the studio for hours of torture, I come to you. Those first moments as a new family are precious and I would be honored to be there to capture them for you!

Lauren Schwarz Photography offers two types of newborn sessions - Lifestyle or Posed. Lifestyle sessions capture you and your child in a relaxed and natural environment. Photos are typically candid, capturing a mother holding her newborn or a family with their new bundle of joy. Parents, as well as pets and siblings can be incorporated into lifestyle sessions, and the entire experience can be completed in about an hour. Posed sessions are a little more involved as they require your newborn to be sound asleep, but the result is incredibly adorable! Cute knit hats, hammocks, baskets and other props can be used to increase the cuteness factor. Posed sessions typically take 2-3 hours due to the prep work required, but it’s definitely well worth it!

Pregnancy is such a special moment in your life, and maternity photos are the perfect way to capture your beautiful belly! The best time to take your maternity photos is in your eight month, when you’re almost at full term. Your maternity session can be just about you and your baby, or we can incorporate the other parent and/or your other children. Either way, the result is beautiful!
