Robert T. Sasman  Bob started working for Illinois State Water Survey in 1956  Bob became a member of AWWA in 1957  During his time as a member of AWWA, Bob has held the position of: – Chair of the ISAWWA IN 1974 – Director of the ISAWWA from 1975-1977 – Secretary of the ISAWWA from 1980-1986

 Bob served as the Executive Director of ISAWWA from 1987-1991  Bob has also served as the Historian for the ISAWWA from 1992-2009


Robert T. Sasman  During is time with AWWA Bob has been recognized with many different honors and awards which include: – – – – – – – – –

ISAWWA Fuller award winner in 1976 Ambassador Award in 1981 Quarter Century award in 1982 Honorary AWWA life Member award in 1986 Silver Presidential Award in 1989 Clifford H. Fore Award in 1992 AWWA Special Recognition in 1992 Zenno Gorder Award in 1993 Golden Drop Award in 2007 for being a member for 50 years!

 Wayne as been a valuable member of the Small Systems Committee and for the past 20 Years Wayne has provided training to the Water operators of Illinois. While Wayne provides training through his position at the Illinois Rural Water Association his main objective has been to assist small systems with their compliance issues.  Wayne serves on the Illinois EPA’s Water Supply Operators Advisory Board and holds both a Class A water license and a Class 2 wastewater license and has over 40 years in the water treatment industry.
