Lausanne welcomed four new members to the Lausanne Board of Trustees at the start of the 2022–2023 school year. These individuals are highly respected by the Lausanne community for their leadership, thoughtfulness and dedication to our school and to the broader Memphis community.

Erin Massey Everitt

Erin Massey Everitt is a Partner and Deputy General Counsel at global consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. With nearly 20 years’ experience as a legal professional, Erin previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney with the Department of Justice, US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee, Criminal Division and the Northern District of Alabama, Civil Division. Prior to that, she worked as an Antitrust and Securities lawyer with White & Case (DC) and Bass, Berry & Sims (Nashville). She holds a B.A. from Rhodes College, a J.D. from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Law (LL.M.) from Georgetown University Law Center. Erin also currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the McKinsey Retirement Trust. She and husband, Matthew, have three children, William ’29, Eleanor ’31 and Mary Claire ’32. They are thrilled to have relocated to Erin’s hometown of Memphis and to be part of the Lausanne community.

Tom Kadien

Tom Kadien retired from International Paper after a 39-year career with the company. He then started UMRF Ventures as CEO in August 2017 and retired in September 2020, though he remains Chairman of the Board. While at IP, Tom served as President of IP Europe (Brussels, Belgium), President of xpedx, IP’s distribution business, and Senior Vice President of the company’s Consumer Packaging, IP Asia and India businesses. Tom’s last Senior Vice President role at IP (2014–2017) included responsibilities for Global Human Resources and Government Relations. Tom has served on the Board of Directors for the Sherwin-Williams Company and International Paper APPM, Ltd. At the University of Memphis, Tom served as President of the University of Memphis Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Visitors and President of the Auxiliary Services Foundation. He is also a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Baptist Memorial Hospital system. Tom holds a BSBA degree from Bucknell University and an MBA from Drexel University. In 2021, he received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of Memphis. Tom and wife, Anne Marie, have four children: Samantha, Jack, Beth Anne ’10 and Scott; two granddaughters: Violet ’28 and Alice ’35; and one grandson: Anthony.

Jarred Reed ’09,

Jarred P. Reed is an attorney in the Madison County, Illinois office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, a fullservice law firm with offices across the United States. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Tennessee. Jarred is a graduate of the Lausanne Class of 2009 and is a member of the Lausanne Heritage Club, having attended Lausanne from 1st–12th grade. He is also the eldest sibling of Jessica ’14, Jordan ’17 and Jason ’19. He is the son of Drs. Jarvis and Patrice Reed who have served the Lausanne community in various roles including membership with the Board of Trustees. During his time at Lausanne, Jarred was a member of the Varsity Boys’ Basketball team and the National Honor Society. He has served as a member of the Lausanne Alumni Association since 2019 and was recently elected as our new Alumni Board President.

Rebecca Brown Schulter

Rebecca Brown Schulter is a Partner and Financial Planner at UCL Financial Group and has been in the financial industry for 8 years. She graduated with honors from New York University and spent 10 years in Manhattan. She currently serves as President of the Memphis/West TN chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Secretary of NAIFA Tennessee and Regional Vice Chair for NAIFA’s grassroots committee and is very active on NAIFA’s Young Advisor Team. She was also a 2021 recipient of Advisor Today Magazine’s 4 Under 40 award. Rebecca is a member of the 2021–2022 Conditional Class for the Le Bonheur Club and currently serves as Co-Social Chair for the Lausanne Parent Connections Executive Board. She and husband, Drew, have two children, Elliott ’32 and Kellan ’37.
