Camera phones have officially ended the reign of pocket shooters. Gone are the days of people buying budget cameras, sold by a number of Japanese and Korean manufacturers. Those camera devices came in cheap and were capable of clicking reasonably good photos. Smartphones changed that by combining the idea of a phone with a camera. As the devices and their operating systems matured (iOS and Android), their camera specs became beefier and it became easier and easier to share your clicks across social media platforms using a smartphone, new trends arrived and the plain old digicamis rapidly disappearing over the horizon today.
