For many years, higher ed was at the forefront of using AV to develop remote learning tools and pedagogies. If anything, they’ve been ready more than most for the large shifts toward hybrid, hyflex and distance learning styles. As we look toward the future of education-focused AV solutions, flexibility will be the key for success. We’ve learned what works and what doesn’t over the past few years of extensive real-life experiences. Now higher education institutions are looking to set up campuses to meet new expectations for distance learning, lecture capture, collaboration tools and digital signage to enable exemplary experiences. A common theme throughout this magazine, you’ll note, is creating spaces that can handle multiple styles of learning. The days of one-purpose, dedicated spaces like distance learning rooms are over. Rooms of every size need to be able to change by the hour to handle hybrid learning, study groups, lecture capture and more.
