Cam Winton, Outland Energy Services By Teresa Cajot Earlier this month Outland Energy Services reported that Cam Winton has taken on the role of Vice President and General Counsel within the company. In his new position, Winton is responsible for performing a variety of commercial functions, including the packaging and pricing of Outland Energy’s service options to suit the individual demands of asset owners. He is further responsible for establishing an understanding of responsibilities and obligations among Outland Energy team members. He is also a part of the development and execution of its corporate strategy.
Winton initially joined Outland Energy Services in 2009 as the Director of Contract Management. Prior to that, he practiced law with Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi LLP, where he specialized in representing Fortune 100 companies.
Scott, who was hired as Outland Energy Service’s first employee, was promoted to president and chief executive recently. Scott’s and Winton’s promotions were both announced in an August tenth press release.
Winton earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and holds a master’s degree in Philosophy, Policy, and Social Value from the London School of Economics. For his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude, with a degree in international relations.
Outland Energy Services, which was founded in 2005, operates and maintains wind farms primarily through the following services: commissioning, inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and asset management. The company is based in Canby, Minnesota and has offices in Mendota Heights, Minnesota and Guymon, Oklahoma. It serves wind farms throughout but has also worked in Canada and Japan. Outland Energy Services currently employs about 125 service technicians.
