Although the firm’s roots can be traced to the turn of the century, the modern Fried Frank was established in 1971. The firm’s name partners include Walter Fried, Hans Frank, Sam Harris, Sargant Shriver, and Leslie Jacobsen. The firm’s New York office largely focuses on public mergers and acquisitions and private equity, domestic and international capital markets and complex financings, asset management, corporate governance, securities enforcement and regulation, corporate reorganization, bankruptcy and debt restructuring, antitrust, intellectual property and technology, securities and shareholder litigation, white collar crime, and internal investigations. The firm’s Washington, DC location, which was established in 1949, serves clients in the areas of corporate transactions, antitrust tax, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, commercial litigation, securities regulation and enforcement, intellectual property and technology, government contracts, and white collar crime and internal investigations.
