GT was founded in Miami, Florida in 1967 by attorneys Lawrence J. Hoffman, Mel Greenberg, and Robert Traurig. The firm, which was originally called Greenberg, Traurig and Hoffman, only began major expansion within the past couple of decades. As recently as 1991, the firm consisted only of two Florida offices. Today it has offices in Albany, Amsterdam, Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Delaware, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, New Jersey, New York, Orange County, Orlando, Palm Beach County North, Palm Beach County South, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Francisco, Shanghai, the Silicon Valley, Tallahassee, Tampa, Tel Aviv, Tysons Corner, White Plains, and Washington, DC. The firm also has established strategic alliances in Milan and Rome. GT’s London office is run by Greenberg Traurig MaherLLP, a Greenberg Traurig PA and Greenberg Traurig LLP affiliate.
