Rachel Littman, Assistant Dean for Career and Professional Development By Teresa Cajot Throughout her legal career Rachel Littman has been many things: a law student, a law journal editor, a teacher, a coach, and an associate. Today, as the Assistant Dean of the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) at Pace University School of Law, she brings all of her experiences to the job to assist students and graduates in planning their own legal careers.
In her current role, Littman is responsible for the management of the Center for Career Development and the Office of Marketing and Communications. She is primarily concerned with networking to create job and learning opportunities for Pace Law students and alumni, but is also heavily involved in individualized career counseling. Prior to joining the CCPD in 2007, she served as an Adjunct Professor at Pace Law School, where she taught criminal law/ legal analysis and writing to 1L students. From 1998 to 2003 she was an associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, where she assisted in establishing the firm’s New York office. While at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Littman practiced in securities law and complex structured finance and securitization transactions.

Immediately following law school, she joined the Capital Markets Group of Milbank Tweed Hadley and McCloy in Manhattan. Littman earned her JD, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. As a law student she served as the Managing Editor of the Constitutional Law Journal. She earned her BA in Art History from Yale University, where she was a varsity field hockey and lacrosse player. Throughout her legal career, she has been called upon to speak at conferences and has been active in a number of professional organizations including the New York State Bar Association Task Force on the Legal Profession and the NALP Law School Employment Outcomes Task Force.
