Scott Brown, Stroz Friedberg LLC By Teresa Cajot Last Tuesday it was announced that Scott Brown has taken on the position of general counsel and secretary at Stroz Friedberg LLC. In his new role, Brown is responsible for the company’s global legal team and all legal matters concerning the company and its subsidiaries. Brown currently works from Stroz Friedberg’s Boston office.
Prior to joining Stroz Friedberg, Brown worked in both the New York and Boston offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, & Flom LLP. During his time with the firm was in charge of the intellectual property and technology group and focused largely on US and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, commercial contracts, and counseling and litigation concerning copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, rights of publicity and privacy, and data security. He has experience working within the US and overseas with a wide range of clients, including start-up companies, large corporations, and private equity firms. Additionally, Scott regularly lectures on topics such as intellectual property and technology protection, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation.
