The Career Planning Office at CUNY School of Law By Teresa Cajot The Career Planning Office at the City University of New York School of Law offers students and alumni an abundance of legal and career advancement expertise.
Stephanie McGregor, the Associate Director of Career Planning, has been a member of the City University of New York School of Law since 2005. Prior to joining the Career Planning Office, she served as a hearing examiner/administrative judge with the City Department of Finance and the City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. McGregor also spent 15 years at the New York Law Department, within the Office of Corporation Counsel, as an assistant corporate counsel. In this position she engaged in the prosecution and litigation of potentially hazardous buildings for the New York City Department of Buildings. She holds a JD from Rutgers Law School, a MBA from Pace University, and a BA from Mount Holyoke College. She also volunteered with Practicing Attorneys for Law Students (PALS) and served on the board for the Association of Black Women Attorneys. Pat Tynan, the office manager at the Career Planning Office, has been with the City University of New York School of Law since 1985. She joined the law school as the first-year coordinator and moved into her current post in 1996. In addition to responding to inquiries from students, alumni, and employers, she is also responsible for maintaining the school’s job portal and organizing employment programs and oncampus interview opportunities. Rosevony Duroseau, Employer Relations Specialist and Career Counselor, has been with the Career Planning Office since 2010. Directly before taking on her current position with the law school, she was a managing attorney with a consumer

debt practice in New Jersey. Prior to that, she counseled clients on real estate and business law matters through a community-based law practice that she established in New Jersey. She also spent time with a New-York headquartered public finance law practice. Duroseau earned her JD from Fordham University School of Law. She has been a panel speaker at professional development seminars and is currently a member of the Law Students Perspectives Committee of the New York City Bar. As the Employee Relations Specialist in the Career Planning Office, Duroseau is responsible for building job opportunities in the private sector and for promoting communication between students, alumni and employers. Sam Sue, Esq. is the Director of the Career Planning Office and an Adjunct Professor, who has been at the law school since 1998. Immediately before the joining the City University of New York School of Law, he served as a Senior Attorney at New York Lawyers for Public Interest (NYLPI). While at NYLPI, Sue was responsible for staffing the Environmental Justice Project and handling NYC charter, land use, and environmental justice issues that impacted disadvantaged and minority communities. Sue, a Charles H. Revson Fellow at the Center for Urban Legal Studies at City College, also taught at the Platt Institute. He holds a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA from Oberlin College.
