Washburn University School of Law is one of the most renowned law schools situated on the main campus of the Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas. The Law School was founded way back in 1903 and is certified to the American Bar Association and the Association of American Law Schools. According to the latest edition of the US News and World Report’s Best Law Schools, the Washburn University School of Law was ranked in the 3rd tier amongst the 4 ABA certified Law Schools and the 2nd best Law School in the Kansas state.
First Year Curriculum
At present the Washburn University School of Law has 445 students and 79 distinguished Faculty Members.
Moreover, the first year batch is also supposed to participate in the Academic Support Program at the Law School and the Ex-L Program (Expert learning Program). As a part of the Expert Learning Program students are taught the various learning strategies essential for success in Law School. This is comprised of a structured Study Group Module where small groups of students meet twice a week and experiment with cooperative learning strategies.
Admissions The Admission Processes at the Washburn University School of Law are rather simple and uncomplicated. Students need to apply to the Admissions Committee with a comprehensive filed application. The Committee reviews it and notifies the students through mail whether their application is admitted, placed in the waiting list, denied, or deferred. A delay may take place due to the year end semesters and the holidays. Students can apply online at the Law School Admission Council web site.
