Lloyd Comiter - Family Man, Lawyer and Community Leader Lloyd Comiter was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but has built his life and career in south Florida since the age of two. He returned to the northeast to earn his BA in Political Science in Boston, Massachusetts and returned to his now-home state to receive his Juris Doctor degree at St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. We are proud to include him as this week’s Law Star Inductee.
Lloyd Comiter has built a significant legal career that’s been highlighted through the years with many awards and admittances to several of Florida’s most respected associations and organizations. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the South Palm Beach County Bar Association. Further, not only is he admitted in all of the Florida Courts, but also the U.S. District Court, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, the United States Court of the Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Supreme Court of the United States and the U.S. District Court, North District of Florida. Comiter has made appearances on television and most recently, PBC Channel 20 as a panel member who provided a unique insight to the issues related to small claims courts within the state of Florida. He opened his firm, the Law Offices of Comiter, P.A. in 1995 while also maintaining his Deerfield Beach office. His mission is to ensure all of his clients receive personal service with superb legal representation in all legal matters. That representation might include small claims court actions, family law matters, mediation, county or circuit court actions or landlord/tenant matters. While he thrives in this atmosphere, Comiter, along with the support of his family, decided to throw his hat into the political ring recently. He’s not looked back, either.

In a time when political races can become less than kind, aggressive and even cutthroat, Comiter rises above the status quo. With endorsements by some of the most renowned names in the state of Florida, he has certainly become a formidable force to be reckoned with. Even as he maintains his busy work schedule, he is a dedicated husband and father and one who genuinely cares about his friends and neighbors he shares his community with. After hearing a young woman retell her experiences and setbacks in her efforts of getting a college education, and specifically, a law degree, Comiter is quoted as having said, ‘’...her success story is an inspiration to all who will listen. We adults have so much to learn from her’’. His genuine concern was visible as he spoke the words.
