“LAWRENCE HERE’S TO THEE”
On an elm-tree shaded hillside, in an old New England town, stands a school both old and famous, worthy of its great renown. From the many who have loved it and upheld it gloriously echoes down the years this watch-word “Lawrence, Lawrence, Here’s to Thee!”
From Thy portals facing westward where the last faint sunbeams glow, catch we on the mountains’ summits visions dreams that still will go with us whereso’er life takes us, and through all the years to be, this shall be our promise loyal “Lawrence, Lawrence, Here’s to Thee!”
Words by Harriet A. Clark
Music by George F. Hamer, Jr. (1923)
