HOMES

This year-round getaway in Quebec’s Eastern Townships is warm and welcoming all winter long.

Cabin Fever

TEXT CHRISTY WRIGHT | PHOTOGRAPHY MONIC RICHARD | STYLING NICOLA MARC

The front hall feels as warm as a mug of hot chocolate thanks to the abundance of beautifully burnished wood, which was salvaged from a barn in the Eastern Townships and added during a renovation in the 2000s. The owners painted the once-pink walls white for an airy feel that keeps the rustic wood the focal point. Some sprigs of greenery on the banister, a vase of narcissi and an array of wrapped presents signal the festive season.
