WE CAN’T WAIT TO WELCOME YOUR CHILD TO THE LAWRENCE ARTS CENTER TO START LEARNING, CREATING, AND MAKING NEW CONNECTIONS!

The Lawrence Arts Center’s early childhood education programs harness the power of art to help young children develop the creativity, imagination, confidence, and problem-solving skills they need to be successful throughout their lives.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AT THE LAWRENCE ARTS CENTER GIVES YOUR CHILD THE OPPORTUNITY TO: • Experience an innovative early education curriculum that uses art and play to engage young minds. • Interact with professional artists, musicians, dancers, and actors in the classroom. • Attend Lawrence Arts Center theater and dance performances. • Go on fieldtrips related to the visual and performing arts. • Exhibit artwork for family and friends in the annual preschool and kindergarten exhibitions in the Lawrence Arts Center’s galleries. • Participate in the Lawrence Arts Center’s award-winning SmART moves program, which teaches children to embrace healthy lifestyles through exercise, outdoor play, gardening, and nutritious cooking activities.

The Linda Reimond Arts-Based Preschool

The Lawrence Arts Center’s arts-based preschool program, named in honor of longtime Preschool Director and the 2015 Henry Ford Teacher Innovator Award winner, Linda Reimond, provides social, motor, and creative experiences for 3-5 year olds that excite their love for learning. By embedding music, sculpture, painting, drawing, and creative movement, enrolled children grow in both self-esteem and intellectual ability.

The Kelly Galloway Arts-Based Kindergarten

The Lawrence Arts Center’s arts-based kindergarten program, made possible by a gift from the Thomas D. Galloway Family, completes the continuum of our award-winning early childhood academic programming. With a special focus on preparing young students to develop innovation skills, the arts-based approach sets the stage for a lifetime passion for learning and the arts. Children who are age 5 before August 31st are eligible to enroll.

FALL ENROLLMENT BEGINS MID-FEBRUARY.
