Calling movement creators ages nine through adult for our Student Choreography Showcase!
The Student Choreography Showcase is an event for School of Dance students to showcase self-choreographed dance works in a supportive and encouraging environment. Student choreographers are responsible for selecting and rehearsing their dancers before the show. Register for free at lawrenceartscenter.org! First-time choreographers and those seeking to enrich their skills are encouraged to enroll in Improv & Choreography Composition, CDAC1: 6/5-7/24, MO; 6:30 PM-7:55 PM.

Choreographic Guidelines
• Duration should be at most two minutes and 30 seconds unless approved by the School of Dance Director.
• Choreography, music and costuming must be appropriate for an all-age audience.
• Students are responsible for providing their own costumes and props.
• Choreographers must purchase and provide their own music.
• Choreographers can use Arts Center studio spaces for rehearsals from June 5 - July 24 (subject to availability). For more details, contact dance@lawrenceartscenter.org.
Auditions
Auditions for Lawrence Ballet Theatre Company
SATURDAY, JUNE 10 | 1-3 PM
Location: Studio B, 10th and Mass Studios
Ages 11-18, Equivalent to Ballet IV-VII
Auditions are held each year for company members and apprentices. To be considered for LBT, applicants must attend a formal audition. Pre-registration is required. The deadline to register online is June 7. Lawrence Ballet Theatre (LBT) is the resident pre-professional ballet company of the Lawrence Arts Center. LBT provides members with extensive training and performance opportunities while broadening connections to the dance community. Led by Artistic Director Cynthia Crews, company members gain experience through performances of classical ballet repertoire and original works. LBT dancers work directly with professional guest choreographers and the artistic director. As a member company of the prestigious Regional Dance America/MidStates, LBT attends the annual RDA/Midstates Festival each year.
Company Members & Apprentices Requirements:
• 11 to 18 years old
• Take three ballet technique classes per week
• Take one additional dance technique class of any style per week

2023 Lawrence Dance Intensive
LDI returns to host a series of programs for contemporary and ballet dancers.
