about carnival grooves
Carnival Grooves is a media brand dedicated to promoting carnivals around the world. Initially started as a magazine in 1998, there is also an online presence at carnivalgrooves. com. Carnival Grooves: the Notting Hill Carnival edition is a magazine that promotes Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s largest open air event. In 2016, Carnival Grooves will work in conjunction with the London Notting Hill Carnival Enterprise Trust (LNHCET) to produce the official guide to Carnival 2016. This year’s magazine is a 64 page, full-colour edition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Notting Hill Carnival. The magazine will celebrate the culture, roots and traditions of the carnival over the past 50 years. There will be a wealth of up-to-date, essential information about pre-carnival events and preparation, competitions, costumes, personalities, music, sound systems and the parade route - in fact, anything and everything pertaining to Europe’s largest street festival. Our editorial team consists of specialist writers who are themselves embedded within the carnival culture, thus offering the readers of Carnival Grooves a truly unique insight into, and understanding of the sensational ‘world’ of Carnival.

Carnival Grooves magazine is free, and a handy A5 size, making it the ‘go to’ guide for every carnival goer’s pocket. This year, we will have a pull out route map which readers can use to access information about carnival activities, including the location of steel bands, mas bands and sound systems.
the demographics demographics the
The Carnival Grooves core readership is made up of individuals who have a keen interest in the culture and lifestyle of the Caribbean, including carnival. Readers range from teenagers to grandparents, but the central demographic is those aged between 18 and 45, who attend events at least twice a month and have strong family and/or business links with the Caribbean. Distribution on the streets during Carnival itself broadens this readership to any attendee at the event.
