Carivog International in Trinidad and the UK has always believed in a holistic cultural development in the arts; be it talent, beauty pageantry or Carnival. We have faced up squarely to the obstacles that appear before us and have triumphed. With this year Theme: ”Tobago, Paradise Isle”
On behalf of the Directors of Carivog and its committees, we hope that the participants in all three events will gain valuable insights and benefits from participating, see the potential for new opportunities – personal, professional and cultural, and to those visiting Tobago for the first time, take back with them memorable and pleasant experiences.
So this year, we have thrown down the gauntlet, yet again, to raise our efforts to a higher plane: to achieve excellence in the arts, to promote the culture of the country of our birth and to focus on talent, beauty and intelligence. This year there are two new events. In London, the Trinidad and Tobago UK Talented Teens competition that is a special feature of the 2016 Beauty Pageant, Ms Trinidad & Tobago UK. Eligibility to participate include residency in the United Kingdom, a link by heritage or parentage to Trinidad and Tobago and age. The Competition showcases the talent of our youths in any art form – singing, playing an instrument or any performance art.

ABOUT TOBAGO PARADISE ISLE
At a cursory glance, the island of Tobago is like any other tourist destination with its long stretches of sandy beaches, calm crystal clear waters, blue skies, balmy breezes and lots of tropical sunshine. But Tobago is far more than just being a typical tropical paradise. It has much more to offer the visitor, investor or returning national. Beneath its waters, it is surrounded by gently sloping coral reefs, plunging submarine cliffs and volcanic formations with seas teeming with myriad tropical fishes, hundreds of corals, whales, sharks, manta rays, squid and turtles. On land, there is a central ridge of volcanic hills and the oldest protected forest in the Western Hemisphere that is a nirvana to naturalists. And its people? Leaving Address from the outgoing Trinidad & Tobago UK Queen 2014 - Sophia Joseph It has been such a great pleasure and privilege, to represent and be an ambassador to the country of my heritage Trinidad & Tobago. I have had the opportunity to represent the Diaspora of our beautiful isles at many events throughout my reign on so many levels ranging, from local Trinidad UK residents picnic events to the international platform of the World Travel Market. It has been a journey of personal development and education learning more about the flora, fauna and culture, in order to be able to communicate knowledgeably and promote our beautiful sister Isles to all whom I meet . One of highlights of my reign was meeting our Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley on his inauguration visit to United Kingdom. It was with great pride I was introduced and was even lucky to have a brief exchange of words with the Prime Minister as he asked me about my title.

My prize trip to Trinidad and Tobago, was absolutely wonderful where I went on nature hikes did fashion shoots, addressed speeches to dignitaries, I would like to thank our hosts, the Ministry of tourism Tobago Tourist board and other officials and organisations who warmly welcomed me. Also our host Mr Joe Mc Intosh, Lyn Manor Villa, the accommodation was superb. In Trinidad I would like to thank the National Carnival Band Association of Trinidad & Tobago, Synergy TV, and many organisations there and here in United Kingdom for making my reign a memorable one. Lastly I would like to thank the organizers CARIVOG and my sponsor Carnival Emporium for making this opportunity possible. My best wishes and prayers go out to the new queen may she find her journey as fulfilling as I have.
