Cultural center thesis project | 2014 mentor: prof Dejan Miletić
The aim of the task was to establish relationship between artificial and natural with a research of possibility of forming new spatial structures which are integrated into natural or/and artificial enviroment. Solution of my project was based on the analizing and creating architectural form using NURBS curves with its control points which generates the whole structure. During the design process modification of above mentioned points is made according to different kinds of functions trying to give the best answer for the task. The project is located on pedestrian zone next to the Danube river, between upper and lower path. The main idea was that the building should emerge from terrain and with that kind of form it should invite pedestrians to use this space for their activities such as outdoor performances, cultural gatherings, skate park, etc. Two kinds of rifts are made to enable movement and entrances into the building without any difficultes and to have a flow of the people accessing different kinds of program. Beneath the design platform there are indoor activities such as: exibitions, multimedia rooms, library, studying area, multifunctional room, cafe and additional facilities. This building should unite all activities to contribute and rise awareness on the important role of the culture and revive this part of the city.

Geometry of the main structure is created by moving the control points of it’s main guidelines. The control points are interconnected with a secondary set of lines.
The triangular body of the whole structure represents both the roof and platform which can be used for different activities such as walking, cycling or outdoor stage for various performances.
Inner activity is located below the platform. There are exibitions, library, studying area, conference hall, cafe, administration, etc.

Building the Pupin Bridge which connects Zemun and Borca opens the possibility for developing an urban morphology in the area on the left bank of the Danube. The task is based on the assumption that in this part of the city, besides traffic, infrastructure and industrial zone, it will appear the need for creation of new residential area. It was necessary to find and propose a new, modern typological concept of housing. Concept was to transform agricultural area into a small vertical town where residents can find everything what they need. The main idea through design process was that the whole structure is consisted of two types of moduls. By changing their position and the way how they lay on to each other we are creating unique kind of housing typology. The biggest advantage is a void which is created to represent a mutual public space for users to improve interactive and social aspect between them. It is covered with green roof, so they could be used as farming area. Every building is connected with a several paths which is accessible to everyone in a way to achieve better communication between roof public gardens. In order to meet everyone needs, a seven types of apartments are designed and distributed in a whole structure creating a place in every building for different kind of users.

Winery competition entry | 2013 in collaboration with: Duťan Cvetković, Stefan Radovanović
Location for the winery is at the edge of the vineyard field descending towards the water channel. By analyzing the site, panoramic view south of the channel popped out like one of the best attributes of this location. Furthermore, the physical extension of the vineyards towards the panorama creates an interesting relation between the existing nature and its consumers. In this way, winery blends with the ground. Surrounding space suddenly becomes a single unit with the project. This long extension has a purpose of a roof and a cover for the big terrace below. At the same time it creates a polygon for further development of the project. Right below the roof is the exhibition space which has access to the big terrace which offers panoramic view to the south. There is also an office which has direct connection to the production part. The natural slope was used to position the production part in the ground which requires dark and cold space. Production and exhibition parts are closely connected with vertical communication and with openings in the floor through which the visitors can observe the wine cellar below. These floor openings are covered with transparent glass tables. In this way, strong multi-purpose unity is achieved. People are connected with nature and wine. Nature and vineyards are represented as singular continuity. 32

Designing process is started from the longitudinal geometry that is placed next to the Branko’s bridge and that is oriented to the landscape on the opposite side. The main idea was to connect bridge with the building. That is achieved with walking paths which are linked to the bridge and pass through the building. They connect old part of the city with new, enabling flow of the people. Indoor space represents architecture of duality. It is divided on two separate parts. First one is an open space which permeate communicating paths which provides flow of the people and their activity such as walking and experiencing exibition. Above mentioned paths are connected on some places creating common space for visitors and forming amphitheater for different kinds of performances. Other one represents inserted closed space which includes classrooms, library, administration, conference hall, multimedia rooms and additional facilities. Facade is designed by metal framework with a several layers and it should archieve blured visual effect from the Branko’s bridge and the city of Belgrade. On someplaces facade is dispersed to enable better views for the visitors toward the important building in the city.

Cliff house school project | 2012 mentor: prof Milan Vujović
The cliff house as one of the university tasks was a way to freely express freedom of form without any kind of restictions searching for a contemporary architectural language. Location of the house is a cliff 50 meters high from the sea level, designed to have beautiful view on the sea and its landscape.The main concept of the project was having a form which could provide different views and experiences of its users. The suspension part of the house is made for leisure and overwhelming experience of floating above the sea. The simple, elegant building, resting on this kind of surface is exerting a minimal impact on its surroundings. Its concrete structure is barged to the site and with its glass panels stroke gives a unique move as well as astonishing view and provides the best kind of illumination and comfort for its users. On ground floor an open plan provides spaces such as: kitchen, dining, and living room around the pool area and three bedrooms and bathrooms. By planning few more bedrooms as well as work spaces in the upper levels of the house we re-examine the boundaries of interior space giving a different dynamic position and view from above.

The main objective of this project was to explore the phenomenon of citizen’s initiative to better the life quality of local communities, which causes action and intervention in physical space. Citizen’s initiatives causes reaction, to people affected by the issue and poeple willing to deal with the issue. It also represents network of distributed knowlage, ideas and resources, people that share similar opinions, lifestyles and problems, and so developes kind of a relatioship for the sake of achieving diverse interests. By doing so actively and organized, this initiative makes great potential and effective way to create and deliver sustainable solutions. One of the main motive of this project was economic sustainability - cheap and available construction and convenience for self-build educational programs. The given location was just outside of Krusevac, south Serbia. This project targets people in the cycling community that use this area as a meeting place during the cycling season and this area is also invisioned as the holiday-place for mentally challenged children from a nearby care center. The houses are designed to meet the minimum needs of these two target groups.

The main guiding motive through designing process was a steel, tubular column used in scaffolding. The idea is to create a steel forest applying aged and galvanized tubes and follow the theme of recycling through material reuse and easy construction/dismounting having in mind that the whole concept is ephemeral. By changing the distance between the tubes and their density and height, the space for corridors and pavilion program is created. There are three main elements of space: reception, souvenir shop with chill area and the business center. Since the business center requires more private space it is brought above the ground in a separate unit. The other two programs are merged since their purpose is very similar and flexible. There are no walls and the illusion of the same is created with denser tube grid, defining and dividing separate programs in that way. Pavilion’s space seeks to create an effect of unlimited circulation with certain key points along the way. It is a point cloud in space that can be intersected from any direction. By incorporating this concept, its sole purpose of information sharing is fulfilled and at the same time structure is being dispersed into space.

Bamiyan cultural center competition entry | 2015 in collaboration with: PLAT.FORM.A studio
The building of the cultural center is located in the town of Bamiyan in Afghanistan, on the cliff opposite to the site under the protection of UNESCO. The concept is based on the attitude of the author that in this environment we should intervene unobtrusively and in accordance with the environment and local cultural identity. It is designed to reinterpret its geometry, the edge of the ridge that rises steeply to the northwest. Half of the building is buried, while the entire roof plane is used as a walkway and a public space from which it can be undisturbedly seen carved space in the cliff which is forty meters heigh where once were gigantic statues of Buddha. The interior is also in the relation to the local heritage. Like hundreds of caves on the opposite location, the interior of the cultural center reflects a similar atmosphere. The membrane is perforated which represents the motives of the Afghan tradition which creates the inner space with mystical atmosphere and indicates that in itself it preserves important artifacts of local culture and heritage. Colors and materials in the exterior facade adapts to the natural landscape.
