The kids in Mexico write letters to Christ father. The children in Mexico love to smash the piùata. They call Christmas Eve Epiphany. The kids in Mexico don’t fill up stockings they fill up their shoes with


toys. They fill the pi単ata with nuts, fruit, and toys. On the nine days before Christmas the grownups get together and give thanks of Mary and joseph. ]



Spanish Rice ½ of rice 2 cups of chicken broth 1 cup of tomato souse 3 minced garlic gloves Ÿ cups of onion 2 table spoons of oil In medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add in garlic and onion. Saute 1-2 minutes until softened Add in dry rice. While stirring, cook for about 5 minutes until rice is golden brown Slowly add in broth and tomato sauce into rice, not directly onto hot pan. Stir; bring to boil. Turn heat to low and cover. Let simmer for 20 minutes, then Fluff with fork.
