Herbert Hoover was born in the West Branch, Iowa, in 1874. When Herbert Hoover ran for President in 1928 he was the most popular in the whole country. His family was poor. His mother and father died when he was a young boy. He had to stay with his aunt and uncle when his mom and dad die. He never graduated. He had two kids. He was married. He had one brother & one sister. Before he came president he was a mining engineer from 1896-1914. His Mom & Dad was a teacher. He died October 20, 1964. His childhood was sad because his mom and dad die when he was little.
